  1. Would have been helpful to mention this question was about Multigun in the original post ;)

    Stage was a 3GN Classifier...

You would get better/quicker replies if you post in the correct forum. 3 gun nation is not USPSA shooting. This sub forum is for USPSA, though I guess USPSA multigun would technically apply.

On the website they say they follow USPSA rules, practiscore is what we use to score it, the procedural are USPSA procedurals.

Where is the right place for clarification?

Load to division capacity is a maximum, no minimum IMO.

Not Load to. WSB is Loaded To

    https://s3.amazonaws.com/MS3GNUploads/Stages/WalkThrough/1g350nhy.hje.jpg?w=712&mode=crop

and by 3GN rules its a procedural under 3.3

3.3 Additional +5 Seconds: Shall be assessed for failure to start in the position indicated in the Written Stage Briefing.

  2. I really like my

Safariland Duty Gear 578 7TS Pro-Fit GLS Med Frame Long Slide Multi-Fit Right Hand Holster, Black

if I'm not moving at the beginning of a USPSA stage i just don't lock it in. For 3gun i know its not coming loose.

How do you not lock it in? just rest it in the holster?

correct. trigger guard is still covered

    good review here:

  4. If you want to run a shotgun with less than division capacity I don't think anyone is going to give you a procedural.

If you want to run a single stack in open I don't think anyone is going to care either

Wsb says loaded to. Rules for the division define capacity.

  5. Stage was a 3GN Classifier. in the WSB it states:

"Standing inside Box-A, Shotgun loaded to division capacity and held at port-arms, safety engaged. Pistol loaded and holstered, safety engaged."

So from that statement if you are in practical or factory division shotgun should have 9 shells loaded.

  6. I've had both shoulders done. Do the home PT you get prescribed. Don't get into the "I'll do it later/tomorrow" thing. At the other end of the spectrum don't do more than what your doc says. That is the quick route to a longer recovery.

Full tears in both shoulders. Right (dominant) repaired. took almost a year. I second Neomet's advice. Still have to get the left done, been putting it off for several years.

  7. Disclaimer:

I know the owner and a buddy or two is sponsored by them.

i bought mine after seeing their results and shooting their rifles

Other guys I know run the barrels from 12.5 to 17.3

All are very accurate with factory ammo

I'm running the 16 mid with wolf gold and was ringing plates out to 600 meters (limit of scope) last weekend

Another buddy (not the guy above) was ringing steel out to 550 with a 12.5

I have the Govnah gas block tuned for 2 loads (hoser and long range) and the 3rd position is full open gas.

For next year i'm picking up one of the 17.3 Rifle

  8. One nice thing about the tanfos is that you can get caliber conversions so the same frame can can be used for 9mm or 40.

Thanks for reminding me Bamboo-Para 9/40 slides have the same breechface.

I've been meaning to try one of the Tanfos

  9. I had a Rock Island. Actually 2

First was replaced by the factory.

While OK it needed a lot of work.

Thumb safeties throat barrel mag well

Mag tuning canyon creek mag catch for sti mags and it still was not 100% reliable.

Bought a Para p18 when the rebate was active and never looked back.

For 9 and .40 mags mbx or sps or sti.

Ramped barrel. Only thing need was to swap out recoil spring and guiderod.

I have another one I'm building up for limited.

I'd give the nod to Para over RIA.

  10. Looks good,

Tempted to do mine one day.

OP, did you gauge those mags with the 7G basepad to see if they are legal?

I have several of the SPS myself in 9 and 40 and the stock basepads definitely have to go.

I've just been using them with the 3G pads but was planning on the 4Gs and no I do not have a guage.

    Thanks

  11. OP,

Call Universal and see if you can take a class from Manny before he leaves at the end of the year.

I hope the guy posted below does not mind.

Stage plans for the same match are better.

    He finished 16th in Limited

  12. 3GN Regionals

Feb 27-28 Florida - Universal Shooting Academy

April 9-10- Alabama - Brock's Gap Training Center

May 14-15 - Texas - Copperhead Creek Shooting Club

June 18-19 South Carolina - Clinton House

Sept. 10-11 Utah - Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park

October 22-23 Virginia - Virginia International Raceway - NATIONALS

Is that the complete list for 2016? There seems to be a large regional hole for the mid Atlantic area, or most of the center of the country.

    Starting about 18 min

  13. han my

Will it fit Gen4s with the grip inserts installed? The product description didn't specify and I do like the way they look!

I don't have one. I did try a gen3 on someone's, seemed fine though no faster or better than my dawson ice.

I saw somewhere maybe FB that it does not fit with backstraps.

Since I Use the med beavertail I'll stay with the dawson

I'm sure you could modify the backstrap to fit though.
