  1. I just installed a set of the billet sheilded ambis on my open gun. It was a really easy fit. The standard ambis should be the same.

I’ve had two cast or MIM safeties break, one cutting my knuckle really bad, will stick with billet from now on.

  2. Matt did a great job with the texture. It’s rough enough to hold on to you but you can still shift your  grip to hit the mag release, if need be. The biggest positive for me is the euro shape and the more vertical angle of the backstrap. My guns index much better than with any other grip that I have tried.

oh, how I had a brain fart.... When I saw your reply - it was Aha! your right.... I will do that - I did have it screwed all the way in and the trigger shoe is hitting the mag release button even before the bow could get to the sear.

    Thanks.

I had the same problem, until I fixed it. 😉 See bottom trigger.

question please on the X line triggers.

I have a DVC and was changing over the trigger to the x-line and thought I would do that without changing any other part.

Fitted the trigger into the plastic grip and installed.

To my dismay the bow is either angled incorrectly or too short as when I depress the trigger, even with the overtravel stop adjusted loosely so that it does not get in the way, the gun would not fire. It is not able to reach long enough to activate the sear I think.

I give it 3 times strong pull on the trigger and the it finally drops the hammer to the half cock notch only...and I tell myself what the ....... is going on.

Repeated the whole thing and same thing always happens. Put back the old trigger and it works like a charm with no hitches.

So, these x-line triggers appear to be - non drop in - in a way that the bow does not appear to be correctly angled....

Sorry but am I missing anything here ?

Are you sure that the rear of the  bow isn’t contacting the gip safety tab?

How's the CKArms muzzle flip compared to other PCC's you've seen?  Do you have the 5.5" or 16" barrel?

Started with the 16” and comp and switched to the 5.5” in March. There’s not much flip to speak of with the 5.5” and the lack of forward weight makes for quicker handling.

Another bonus with the Taccom barrel that standard pistol ammo works great. I get no less than 10 power factor points higher with the 16”

How about long term review now that you guys have had the CKARMS for awhile.  Any regrets?  Any tuning tips?

I'm seriously think about getting the the CKARMS with the 5.5" bbl instead of a JPR GMR15 due to the weight savings.

Been shooting mine for the last year with zero malfunctions that can be attributed to the gun. I did swap out the charging handle and the mag release.

I gotta ask, are these used to put forward/downward pressure to try and keep the gun from rising?

Or, is it there to rest your thumb on?

Seems like it'd be easy to torque the gun to the strong side if you're not careful.

    I've never used one.

That’s the reason why I have mine as far forward as possible. I use it as a “locator” so my weak hand grip is consistent. Very little pressure is applied to the rest.

Do you think someone with some "amateur" gunsmithing skills could do the fitting?

Matt designed the grip around the CKARMS frame, which is what I have. STI frames take a little more work.

All I had was some light blending to do.

If you possess any skill, you should be fine.
