POF has been very reliable, for me. The price isn’t bad either.

The Dawson Toolless basepads may or may not work without modifications. I had to modify all my Dawson pads to work with the CK Arms steel grip and magwell.

I agree with shred. I doubt that it’s the extractor or size of extractor groove. Could it be possible that the suspect cases have very thin rims and the mouth of the case is going beyond the chamber?

Masterpiece Arms uses a sight that slides in from the front. They don’t have the sight listed on their site. If you contact them, they just may be able to help you out.

If you ride the safety, it may not be an issue. But if your grip puts your right thumb under the safety, I’d definitely get with the builder and ask his opinion.

I don't understand this gun for uspsa. They look cool and may run fine but I can't see too many people getting these for competition. It's like they asked Bobby what division did you sell the least amount of guns for - limited minor or open minor? Well lets make one gun that will do both these divisions almost no one wants to shoot minor in...
A 40 S&W is in the works and there’s rumor that an open gun may be forthcoming.

I’ve been using it with the heavy spring and have my gun short-stroked. Never an issue in well over two years.

Install the rest as far forward as possible. Use it as an index point instead of a “*thumb rest [generic]*”. The further back it is, the easier it is to oversteer the gun.

Be interesting if they offered it in 40.
Variations are in the works.

I am in the process of buying a CK open gun myself. Should I be worried that there will no longer be customer support?
No worries. Bobby didn’t go anywhere. He’s there if you were to need him.

JP triggers have given me excellent results in my PCCs and have never had an issue in my rifles.

Maybe they just needed Bobby out of the picture for one less competitor?
Bobby isn’t “out of the picture”, he is now an employee of Masterpiece Arms and is building all of the pistols.

MPA is great in bolt rifle land, but that PCC looks a lot like a company swerving out of their lane to try to snag some easy market share. No $1500 gun should come with UTG parts and not even list the trigger being used.
Milspec trigger - most will change the trigger to what they prefer, so this keeps the price down and there are no UTG parts. Thet are MI.

If you know anything about precision rifle, you know MPA.

I came across this and the price seems too good:

I don't like the co-witness sights but it seems like a great package for $3k when comparing to STIs.
Any thoughts or experience with it? I don't think it'll replace my Athena but I may like it for a second (well fourth) 2011 for me...
The co-witness sights are optional.

Looks like a nice piece for the price. But why 9 and not 40? Must going for the tacticool market not competition shooters.
40 is soon to come.

MPA bought the rights to part of the CKArms line.
With the exception of fire control parts, all parts are being made in house between MPA & CKArms shops.

If you are looking for taller, not wider, look at Ed Brown.
