Just picked up a set of Techwell Positech Ergonomic grips. They aren’t the same as a 2011 but are much better than any other 1911 grips that I have tried.
One of the X-line triggers was an older one that was previously fit to a Cheely grip, was nearly a drop-in with the MPA. The newer triggers seem to have a little thicker material for the bow, but that wasn’t much of an issue.
I have installed X-Line triggers in 3 different MPA pistols.
It shouldn’t be difficult to do so with most “2011” triggers.
Grip safeties may need some fitting. The MPA grip is cut pretty high.
How is the accuracy? 0.357” or 0.358” coated bullet should help with both velocity and accuracy. Unless you changed the barrel, the 686 will want larger bullets.
Been using ISOTUNES Sport Caliber BT ear buds for a few months. Battery life is great. Will last all day on the range and the case holds two more full charges. They are shipped with multiple ear pieces for a custom fit. Sound suppression is great and the BluTooth feature is an added bonus. https://isotunes.com/products/caliber-bt
I have an RHT thumbrest with a shield that I made from an old scope mount on my 5.5” Limited gun. I’ve been shooting a DS40 for a little over a year and really don’t miss it. When I do shoot the 5.5”, I tend to oversteer the gun. I probably won’t use one on my open gun either.
