Getting everything together for next week, and suddenly I realize, I did not receive a packet for Nationals.... Did anyone get a packet this year???

You hit on my reason for this post, does a lighter gun, less bullets in the mag, shoot faster or slower, and does it change recoil for better or worse. When I was shooting steel over the weekend, I was able to swing the gun a little faster with a half full mag. Any thoughts?

When shooting a classifier do you use full magazines or just enough ammo to complete the stage and or string of fire? Why or why not. Just something I noticed and wanted to solicit feedback from other open shooter, etc....

Had that issue at Area 8 last year. Could you use a wall/barricade to support weak/strong hand shooting?

Federal small rifle for me, no issues for 38.

Stay with 38 super for the MatchMaster, the 38 will give you more powder choices to use in the shorter barrel. I currently use 8.0 grains of AutoComp with a 124gr MG bullet and 173pf.

Great stages and a great squad today. A special thank you to the shooter who had to leave early but stayed and ran the clipboard the rest of the match. Truly a class act......

STI MatchMaster in 38 Super

Does anyone have the final round count for the open L10 Nationals?

I am using 8.0 grains of AutoComp, 124 CMJ'S, OAL of 1.235, in a STI MatchMaster, 38 super and made 171PF at the Ohio State Match, remember this has a short barrel.

Find someone who has a MatchMaster and shoot it. I have a full size open gun in nine and my MatchMaster is 38super. I love shooting the shorty. It is quick, accurate and shoots very flat. Load is 7.8 of AutoComp and MG 124cmj. You just have to find a gun that you like to shoot and want to shoot. Once you shoot a shorty, it is strange to pick up a full size gun. It feels like your picking up an anchor. Just my two cents. Good luck and make an informed decision.

I also admire the G19, my favorite carry gun. Simply, what is not to like about that gun? I have had mine for over thirteen years and never a single issue. Simply a great gun.........
