  1. Will it be the same on the AM side? 10 Clays at 2 sec.? The stages look great. I am excited and ready to go. Well, maybe not ready ready... Gotta practice some more. AM will be one clay every 3 seconds.
  2. We'll keep it simple. It will be scored the same as all paper tgts one A/B or two hits anywhere in the scoring area.
  3. Think they kept a car stage in just for us Jimmy? Maybe they'll feel generous and give us a Lincoln or Cadillac I have put in a request for two LARGE cars.
  4. Man I hope they use a BIGGER car this year! That little compact car with now tires/wheels and sitting on the frame last year was not fun to get in and out of. A lot more shooting from inside this year as well, may not be a "big" guy friendly one but fun! Looks like they stepped up the stages this year! Wish I could stay until Sun so I could shoot Pro, no slugs and not much long range rifle on Am but the buckshot on stage 1 looks fun. Question on stage 6, calls for 22 but only 12 plates- I assume that means there will be 10 thrown clays? Ouch, I better figure that part out! Ten clay tgts is correct.
  5. I will not know the exact max distances on rifle flasher tgts until we set the steel. Right now I'm thinking in the 300 to 350 yd range. The slug tgt distances will be 50 to 75 yds. The trap is a Promatic sporting clays trap. The tgts will fly perpendicular to the firing line. The trap will activate on the start signal and throw ten clays one every two seconds in the Pro match. This stage is all Kurt Miller's and I'm looking forward to shooting it!
  6. It's a powerpoint template. Shoot me an email and I send you a copy.
  7. Here are the Pro stages.......... pro1z.pdf pro2z.pdf pro3z.pdf pro4z.pdf pro5z.pdf pro6z.pdf pro7z.pdf pro8z.pdf

  9. Yes, they have been sent to the webmaster for posting @ rock3gun.com.
  10. None of the flashers on the Am match will be past ~ 200yds and only some on the Pro match.
  11. The round count for the match is as follows: PRO--> 88 rifle, 98 pistol, 80 shot, & 6 slugs for a total of 272 rds AM---> 80 rifle, 74 pistol, 75 shot, & 3 buckshot for a total of 232 rds. The round count is based on the assumption of one shot per steel/clay and two per paper. The count will also vary as the shooter will have options on which gun to use on some tgts. There are 30 rifle flasher tgts in the match. The Pro clinic instructors/designers have done a great job providing ideas for the stages. On the ground setup starts next week.
  12. I'll check and see if Linda has/will have a list. If you have a squad request make sure she is aware of it.
  13. You can carry long guns with action open or closed on a chamber flag. I like using chamber flags but I know some don't.
  14. I'm working on the final final stage diagrams now. We'll be ready to start on setup soon as I get back from the Big Dawgs Steel Match.
  15. The match plan is progressing fine. The Pro Clinics will have staggered start times both Friday and Saturday evening so you can attend up to four clinics.
  16. The sponsor list is growing. We will have an updated list soon. Remember to support the companies that support our shooting sports.
  17. The results are posted at orpci.org. Thanks to all that came out and shot with us, helped with set-up, or helped tear down.
  18. The stages are posted at orpci.org. We will use the same rifle steel as last year at ~ 210 yds.
  19. ORPCI will host a Club multi gun match this Saturday March 31,2012. The match will again be a 3-gun or a 2-gun event so if you do not have a shotgun come shoot just rifle and pistol. No steel core ammo as we will be shooting 200 yd steel with rifle. Sign in opens at 9:00 AM and we shoot at 10:00AM. The cost to non-members is $15.00. We will have six stages with 69 rds rifle, 88 (113) pistol, and 31 (0) shot. There will not be slugs or buckshot this time. The IMG rules will be used. This is the same rule set as the Rockcastle ProAm except we will have a 180 second par time and recognize all divisions. The stages will be posted soon at orpci.org Come shoot with us.......... GW
  20. Chamber flags inserted in a partially closed bolt is fine. I personally prefer that chamber flags be used.
  21. Any discussion of stage design is a bit premature at this point. We are planning a 26 rd shotgun stage with some tgts from a sporting clays trap but no trampoline. :D The stages will be posted a few weeks prior to the match.
  22. From what I'm seeing here I don't think it would be possible or desirable to have the match without him!!!!!!!!!! GO Jesse GO!!
