  1. Here is my best count (from what I can remember from competitors telling me when they came to my stage) on what the DQ's were for... There were a total of 7. 2 for dropped guns (one on stage 5, and one on stage 10) 2 for a 180 (Both on stage 9, as far as I know) 2 for an early withdrawal (Both on stage 4) 1 Accidental Discharge (Stage 1) Plus...we had a single stacker go open for not fitting in the box, and a production guy go open for grip tape under the trigger guard. AND... about 10 of us went minor. Thankfully there were no sub-minors. Frank

  3. Yes, it's 3. It might have confused you because there are some U's that aren't underlined. We are not recognizing Unclassified. I'm quite sure this matrix will change slightly after the next USPSA update. Frank
  4. Here are todays latest numbers (I've started to compare the online registration numbers with the registration forms... As of today we have 144 competitors Per the registration forms: Friday - 35 Saturday - 36 Sunday - 69 Did Not Mark - 1 Per the lastest online squadding update: Unsquadded - 23 Friday - 34 Saturday - 32 Sunday - 55 Division Breakdown (If underlined, that division/class currently qualifies for a plaque and inclusion on the award schedule): Production (43): 1GM, 1M, 2A, 12B, 16C, 5D, 6U Limited (38): 3GM, 5M, 7A, 9B, 10C, 2D, 2U Open (26): 1GM, 5M, 3A, 7B, 6C, 1D, 3U Single Stack (12): 2A, 3B, 10C, 3D, 2U Limited 10 (12): 1GM, 1M, 2B, 7C, 1D Revolver (5): 1M, 1B, 3C Frank
  5. In case anyone is still interested... we still have 2 slots open. Frank
  6. No kidding... between gun problems, running out of ammo on my last stage (freaking THREE reshoots), going minor, a really poor plan on a couple stages, and a couple "failure to execute the plan" stages... I had a BAD match But... shooting is kinda like sex and pizza... even when it sucks, its still good. Plus... Got to meet a few of y'all. As an RO... I only had to DQ one person... guy had a case head separation. Blew the mag out, blew the extractor off (which we never did find), scared the crap out of him (and me) and he dropped his gun. Here I am, timer in hand, staring at the gun on the ground pointing at my foot (and the other competitors) and the first thought that went through my head was "what the hell just happened." It took me a second to for it to register before we called stop. The shooter did the right thing... as soon as the gun fell, he put his hands up in the air. He didn't try to catch it. Just one of those "high pucker factor" moments. All in all, a great match. Although... I could have done without going prone on stage 1 Got some new powder to hopefully take care of the minor problem... but I'm gonna double check my powder measure as well. Frank
  7. Sorry Dale... I've been at Area 3 since Wednesday afternoon. Yes... I can still take shipments. I've got room enough to take a shipment from every registered competitor if I had to bTW... after adding the entry's I've received since I've been gone, we're now up to 141 competitors... 7 more and it'll be the largest Illinois Sectional in recent history. Frank
  8. Starting to fill up fast. We're now up to 133 competitors. Sunday is filling up twice as fast as Saturday. Based on what was on the applications, I have the following number of competitors and slots (meaning that I haven't compared the entry forms to the online registration yet)... Friday - 35 competitors - Staff day - If this is the only day you can shoot, I should be able to squeeze you in. Probably about 8 more is all. Saturday - 35 competitors - 65 slots still open. Sunday - 63 competitors - 25 slots still open (2 slots are reserved for class registrants). First come, first served on the slots. It's online squadding. Frank
  9. That's my hope Congratulations to the following students who qualify for the Quinn Mounts offered by Jim Thompson: Danny Woodard Bruce Guither Chuck Everland Jake Caswell He will give them to you at the class (no, I don't know if they are version 1 or the new ones, but I'm sure he'll let us know shortly). Frank
  10. Missing the stop plate means that the time continues up to maximum string time limit of 30 seconds, so yes, you were scored properly. In essence, you haven't finished the string until the stop plate is hit. Frank
  11. We're now up to 14 students. This means that there are only 2 seats left for the class. I'll be leaving for Area 3 tomorrow, so I won't be able to do any updates for a few days. Frank
  12. I think Limited and Open divisions are probably going to be classifiers... 3GM, 3M in limited, and 1GM, 5M in open. But I can't speak for USPSA... Frank
  13. Yes... thanks for asking. For those that don't know, I will be at Area 3 working the match. I'll have copies of the registration form with me, and you can sign up for the match there if you like. I don't know where I'll be yet, but due to my back problems of late, I'll be either on Chrono, or one of the two non-movement stages. The only thing I'll ask is that we do this business AFTER your squad has shot my stage, so I can concentrate on getting you through the stage first. I don't want to slow down squads. Frank
  14. Thanks for the kind words. I didn't want to over saturate everyone with the match, but I didn't want to let it get forgotten either. You've got 364 other days you can spend with the wife... At least that's always my excuse... doesn't work all the time We've got people coming from as far as Maryland and Canada (and possibly one from California), so you wouldn't be the farthest one. Hope to see ya. As of today, we're up to 120. Frank
  15. Here is the latest version of the entry form, to show the moving back of the late entry date to August 15th. 18. Got our 11th student registered today Come on guys... only 5 spots left... Frank
  19. Cool... the two of you would put us up to 115 shooters... I've got the preliminary stages done... now I'm just kicking them around in my head for a while, let a couple of the RMI's look at them, ect... Then I'll send them to John for approval.
