... I can reload, but all the bullets I have right now are defense type, i.e. hollow points. ...
I am using nothing but JHPs for 9mm right now.

.... I also put a washer and small rubber O-Ring below the bolt to buffer the downward snap of the decapping die after it pushed the primer out and that has made it a lot quieter. The only noise it makes now is a dull "thunk" as it pops out the primers. ...
My impression was that the "snap" was desirable as it would "throw" off some of the primers that might otherwise hang onto the decapping pin and get pulled back into the primer pocket.
Are you doing large or small primers and do you ever have any that don't deprime the first time (get pulled back into the pocket)?

Very cool (both of you)! Things mean so much more to kids when they have to work for them.

You cut me, man...you cut me deep.
On a related note, I'm going to be in the Ohio (Columbus, McConnelsville) area soon on business. Anybody got a bike I can borrow while I'm there?

Wow, Sarge! Does this mean you're not going to post for a while so you can leave your post count at that magic number?

My '05 Raven R1
Cool! Can I ride it? I don't crash any more.

24. Never, ever, let your 16 year old beat you. He'll tell everybody!
It's even worse when it's your 12 year old!

I did something similar last year. I made sure the following notice went out ahead of time:
Wild, Wonderful Bill left me the keys for the match this month and we're going to have some fun. I haven't figured out if it will be every stage or not, but there will be some low/no light stuff so bring your flashlight, laser, glow-in-the-dark friend…whatever it takes for you to shoot well in the dark. If you have a rail mounted light on your pistol but no holster for that combo, don't worry, you'll be able to retrieve it from a nightstand (though it may be faster if you have an appropriate holster). Also, the good guys and the bad guys will not be very easy to tell apart, just as they wouldn't when going through your dark house at night. I might even figure out a way to for them to change places for every shooter while still presenting roughly the same scenario. You'll either cuss me, laugh at me, or both after the match…but it will be something different.

... I broke the e clip on the resizing die tonight and ...
Tell the truth! You didn't break it, you lost it when you took it off so you could see inside whee the magic is that makes it work!
(or maybe that was me)

I'm working on a reverse sponsorship...
I have letters out to the major manufacturers to see how much they would pay ffor me to show up at matches and shoot *someone else's* guns.
The local Honda shop used to pay me to ride anything but a Honda.

Oddly, View New Content only returned 3 topics this morning (since last night around 10).

Linda,
Do you have any numbers on the mentally-limited attendants (other than me)?

LOL! I had to sleep on a bench in the Atlanta airport last week...this week I *drove* to WBGVA to make sure I would make it home for a 3-gun match Saturday morning.
-
Patrick,
If it will help, I will search for and collect rocks (that is what you he-men shoot/throw, isn't it?)

In my best sheep voice....
Sarge, you;re a baaaad, baaaad man!

I have like the once or twice I have shot matches where you had X number of rifle/pistol/shotgun rounds to engage targets A-G, then Y number of Pistol/shotgun.rifle rounds to engage targets H-Q, then whatevery you could carry of shotgun/rifle/pistol rounds to engage targets R-Z and clean up whatever you failed to get with the first two.
I also would rather shoot two great stages than 5 mediocre stages.

Wait!!! 7....I just got classified in 3-gun!
-
If you're going to make the 3-gun in Rock Hill on Saturday I'll have extra fiber rods for it at the match. Melting both ends has always held pretty well, but I also buy it by the foot and don't hesitate to change it when it looks faded.

Jerry read each of these posts....just before they were typed.

Dayum! I like your wife and she hasn't done anything for me. Well.....

I have been able to get classified in Production, Limited, L-10, and Open all using my M&P. I do plan to borrow a revolver and SS to get classified (or use it as an excuse to buy a couple more).
