I use some Reebok running shoes with aggressive tread. Got 'em for $20 at a Reebok outlet store. I think the aggessive tread is the trick regardless of brand...and whatever feels comfortable.

Comp III's for me too. Easier to handle and a snap to load.

You can't go wrong with a k-frame. At $219 that's a smokin' deal for a stainless smith if its not shot loose.

I like the comp III's. They are bigger and easier for me to handle. My $.02. Never had a problem with them.

I have a pair or 4" 686's for IDPA ad USPSA. They feel good and shoot good. I have shot a model 19 in IDPA with a target hammer, target trigger and target sights made in 1972. Loved it but decided to to compete with the 686's and keep the 19 as a queen.
