  1. Hmmm, an unnanounced equipment test, and if your gun fails, you're DQ'd? That's not designed to encourage participation.

Oh, and if you 're going to do a mechanical test on my firearm, and you break something, you're going to pay to fix it. If that means the match can't find someone to conduct the test, that's fine with me.

Ham-handed "testing" is on par with dropping. You had to handle my firearm, and dropped it onto concrete, and now it doesn't work? You'd better hope there's someone over in the S&W plant who can fix it real quick.

If the "Tester" broke MY Revolver, he would need some HELP getting a Size 10 1/2 EEE New Balance REMOVED from where the Sun don't shine! IDIOT... :( ....mikey357

  2. As far as the 686 Pro Series goes, the FIVE-inch Barreled 686 IS "Cut" for Moonclips, the FOUR-inch Barreled Gun--That S&W Calls the "SSR"--Is NOT Cut for 'Clips--Supposedly because the Four-incher is "Aimed" at the IDPA Crowd..."Clear" as MUD, huh? HTH....mikey357

  3. I know the feeling, but I made the same promise to my wife. I put her through a lot. She did not know what she was going to have when I came out of the comma. Now that I am retired I will be able to keep another promise I made laying in the rehab clinic. I plan on doing volunteer work at the VA helping the soldiers that also have TBI due to IEDs.

    Coolness.

    Really!

    +3...

It's kinda' WEIRD...I was lookin' here and on another Forum to see if you had commented on the Gen4 Glock Triggers and the "New, Improved" Trigger Bar they are puttin' in 'em...NOW I know why I haven't seen any comments on that subject...

Hope your RECOVERY from here on out is many times LESS EVENTFUL than your last Motorcycle Ride....mikey357

  4. I hate that we keep posting threads about DS-10s. I am perfectly content with my homemade cheap and inferior design until I see these. Luckily, I have never ran across one at the range to play with.

    Lee

Once you see one, you'll buy one. They're the cat's meow. Together with the loading block, your reloads are quick enough that you can even shoot your 617 in Steel Challenge matches without having bored onlookers throw tomatoes at you.

Gee, "Bored Onlookers" throwing TOMATOES?!?! What a WUSSY Crowd THAT must be...here, they throw Pointed Sticks...Aluminum CANS...and ROCKS!!!

BTW, I LOVE Dave's product, will be ordering MORE, and hope to HECK that he PATENTED them and will pursue Legal Remedies against CCW...what a bunch of PR#CKS!!!....mikey357

  5. Mike

Mark and I will be there Friday PM. I'm shooting the round gun and .22 iron. Mark is doing some kinda plastic bottomfeeder, unless we can shame him enough.

    Paul

No shame in my game. If I could shoot the roundgun as well as you guys , I would trust that six shots would be enough. But unfortunately I sometimes have a need for more rounds when shooting the elusive steel plates :D

Mark, Mark, Mark...ya' gots ta' get with the PROGRAM, Dude...there are seven- and EIGHT-shot "Roundguns" out there now...and I seem to RECALL that I may have even TRADED you a Seven-shooter in the past???

I'll be there Friday afternoon, as well...mebbe' I can get Glen to Squad us together...BTW, I've STILL got that .40 ammo for you, Mark...Good Luck w/the ICORE Match, and hope to see you Next Week....mikey357

  6. WEATHER should be good...no, GREAT, for this time of year...wish I could be there, but "the Boss"--Mrs. 3-5-7--had a "Pain Management Procedure" done on her LOW BACK less than a week ago, so...I got's to STAY HOME and take care of "the Boss"...

I DO HAVE the OTHER "Fifth Saturdays" in 2011 "Penciled In" on the Calendar...and hope to make it over there for two or three of 'em...

BTW, Mark and Paul, either of you guys planning on shooting the "GA State Steel Match" next weekend???....mikey357

  7. "Rumor has it that RTF-2 will be discontinued for 2011. Personally, I don't like it, especially in a carry type of holster, too harsh. As for the SF, I think the triggers are harder to get good and actually start off worse, if that matters to you."

Actually, the RTF2 Texture will STILL be available for order/purchase by LE Agencies and perhaps individual Officers...IF you are a GSSF Member, send me a "PM" and I can direct you to a Glock Dealer who participated in the GSSF Discount program--and is quite willing to SHIP--who will sell the RTF2 guns to ALL GSSF members...HTH....mikey357

  8. IMHO, the "RTF2" Grip Texture on the 21 SF-RTF2 IS Less "Aggressive" than the RTF2 texture on the small-frame Glocks...I say this having had two of the 21 SF-RTF2's and three of the small-frame Glocks with the RTF2 Grip Texture...FWIW....mikey357

  9. This REALLY pisses me off...We have given a fair amount to St. Jude's over the years thru the Federal Employee's "CFC" Program...No more!!! If Hop, Carmoney or Stage 3 could post or "PM" me the name of the person the commo came from @ St. Jude's, I would be grateful...and will be sending them a "Personal Communication" of my own...TIA....mikey357

  10. IIRC, a gunsmith named Fred Schmidt in VA, W.VA or PA started the "Short Cylinder" thing years ago with his "Tricky" PPC guns...they all shot VERY well, but what properly-built PPC gun doesn't??? I also had a short-cylindered 625 "PC", and never noticed that it shot any better than any of my "Standard" 625's...FWIW....mikey357
