The ONLY diffence is the model number. A 10 round gun model will be something like this S1649SR,(S for single action Limited, 16 for standard round mags, 40 for .40S&W, S for stainless frame) the R in the part number and serial both mean RESTRICTED and can be sold in a state that restricts the number of rounds the magizine hold. Without the R then it can not be sold in restricted states. The R guns come with 10 round mags and standard non R guns come with 16 round mags. A R gun can use 16 round mags, and with Dawson basepads it will hold 20+1. There is no difference in the gun, only how it is tracked.

If scored by the targets it would be 2 alphas and 1 no-shoot, but if believed that the target was not taped and all hole are the same caliber then it is a reshoot. Targets are to be scored using the targets and not by other score sheets.

There is one penalty for the extra shot fired on T1 before the relaod, but there is not a rule for shooting less than required number of shots. Targets are scored for the right number of hits and which scoring zone the hits are in after the course of fire is completed. If the target was shot at during the COF then there can not be a FTE penalty.

You can plainly see the writing in the photo without being directly in line with the barrel. You would not have to sweep yourself or break the 180 rules for this.

I have tried STI mags in my PARA, but if the mag gets pushed up into the reciever the gun may not cycle. Looking at a STI for PARA,a PARA and a STI mag side by side the top of the cut are at the same level, but on the STI the bottom of the cut is lower. Sometimes there can be a problem if the mag is installed with the slide locked back, it can hang up when the slide is released.

Newer 1100 and 11-87 both have the twist plug for retaining the mag spring in the mag tube, to put on a extended tube for more rounds you have to drill out the detents and clean up the mag tube to keep the follower from hanging up. Remington had a list of differnces on their website, I have not checked lately to see if it is still there.
The 1100 and 11-87 feature the following major differences among parts:
- extractor
- bolt
- forend
- forend cap
- barrel
- gas cylinder collar (11-87 only)
- magazine retainer cap
- magazine follower
Other common action parts are interchangeable between the two including virtually all breakable parts except the extractor which is 30/1000ths thicker

Is this model a LDA or standard trigger?

no this is not normal for the EZ loader. It is a little too tight and may need to be fitted with more clearance or has changed the timing and need to be tuned a little. Many EZ loaders work better if some of the gate is removed.

I ro'd and shot the Kentucky State Multi-gun a couple weeks ago. I never turned on my Millet, but did see about half of the shooters with Millets who turned their scopes on. Several who did turned them right back off. It was a clear day.

Stages mostly up and there will be several stages where everbody will ask " how many targets did you say there is on this stage???" or "That target does what??". Final setup in the morning and the fun will soon begin. Weather is going to be good this weekend.

If it is a 11-87 super mag. 3 1/2 turkey gun it will not make a good 3-Gun gun. Remington does not recommend shooting 2 3/4 shells in the 3 1/2 guns. The barrel is ported for the big shells and works great with 3 and 3 1/2 shells. If it is a 3 inch gun it will work great.

If you are looking at WOA barrels, You should call them and talk to them a little. They will put any of their barrels on any of their uppers at a very good price. I got a SPR stainless barrel on their varmit upper with a Cooley comp clocked and blended for around 850 a couple years ago.

This a M.G. rule. Most pistol only stages will get painted between shooters, but shotgun steel will almost always not get painted because it is not just a quick shot on one spot. If you have to repaint the face of the target every 3 minutes the paint does not dry and is would be dripping off the bottom of poppers after a couple of squads.

My P16 LDA has over 14,000 rounds, and P16 PXT has around 3,000 rounds both like the factory OAL rounds. If you get a Para and just do a little polishing and not monkey with it to much it will run for several years. It may not be as good as a STI, but It cost less than half. Para mags with DP basepads hold 20 loadable, but may need a little cleaning up too.
I have RO'd several level 2 matches and watched a few thousand guns run on my stages and Para's have not showed to be more trouble than S_I guns and better than most others. If you are going to move to OPEN OR Limited, I would highly suggest a STI over the Para, IF YOU ARE GOING TO SEND IT TO A GUNSMITH TO TRICKED IT OUT. Buy the Para and send the rest of the money on ammo.

what length mags will you be putting the +2 on?
If they're post ban 140mm, with the +2 the mag won't won't be USPSA legal.
If you got pre ban 140mm, you should be good to go.
If you use 11 mm Grams on a 140mm it will never make Limited only for Open. 4mm can be very close and not make it sometimes. Dawsons are a little longer than Grams most of the time for the same capictiy increase.

You said your loads are 1.18, None of my P16's like long loads. I would go to 1.13XXX or factory and give that a try. Make sure to number all mags to make sure all problems are not with the same mags. Clean and polish the feed ramp real good. Does it happen when the mag is full and/or after some or most rounds are shot? Are there any markings on the brass?

If it take a hit to get the bolt started that is normal, but if after the bolt starts forward then it hangs there is a problem. Most likely the way you are loading the clips. The top shell should be to the left. The bottom and top shells should be next to the little bumps in the clip.

I got a upper from White Oak for $850 shipped. 18 in. SPR stainless barrel, Stainless Cooley comp blended to the barrel, rifle gas system, low profile gas block, their forearm cut to rear of gas block, fitted bolt, standard charge handle, dust cover and forward assist. Shoots better than I can.

I would go with a +4 tube and leave the barrel at 28. It looks good and you do not have to count rounds on the go in USPSA. Other matches are run under so many different rules and the +5 would be nice, and others the barrel has a max. length of 22 inches (this sure makes one brand stand out) so the +3 and a cut down barrel is the only way to go.

I bought a new TX1640S which is LDA P1640 Stainless limited, changed the plasic mag button, front sight and added a DP Ice magwell. Using STI for Para mags this gun has ran over 14K rounds with only a couple of jams and no parts have been replaced.
Mags have been alot of the problems for Para's over the years.
Do not send in a gun with aftermaket parts to Para for repairs or it will come back with all new stock parts in it.
Just bought a used SX1640S which is a single action P1640 Stainless limited PXT off of the Forum, installed a DP magwell and skateboard taped then filed the sharp edges off to the grip. Added DP basepads and old style followers to the mags and took it to the range and ran 450 rounds without a single problem.

It looks to be a great time again this year, just a couple of changes. This year it will be a wildcat match instead of USPSA but still a very good match with old friends, good food and some really fun stages. We will get info on our website (www.orpci.org) as soon as we can.

I like White Oak Arm. Their Varmit uppers and you can choose any of their stainless barrels (SPR or lighter barrels) but make sure to get it with a Wylde chamber. They seem to have a very good upper at a good price. Best to look at their website then call for more information.
