  1. i've been shooting scaled 1/3 and 1/4 targets at indoor range.    its been a few months since i shot full size targets.

for example shooting 1/3 scale target at at 3.33 yards (ish) to simulate 10 yards.   2.3 yards to simulate 7 yards  5

i've been shooting multiple drills for example,  Mozambique (ish)  drills at scaled targets

today i shoot full size idpa targets (patched up throw aways)   my times were approx  20% slower ?!.      i expected my time to be closer to scaled practice targets, not considerably slower.   even without timer you could tell the time difference.  and to top off slower times...... less accuracy, more dropped shots.......

anyone have any idea why the big difference?

if my memory of geometry serves me the muzzle movement should be almost identical from scaled to full distance......

    please advise......

  2. how did you get one so early?

im not a fan of cutting springs.....  the is nothing consistent

i would try the cajun springs as mentioned above

    something doesn't sound right

im running the 11.5 #  and it sets off sb, cci, winchester, federal primers  in a spo1  that i tuned up   the 8.5# was way to light and had lots of light strikes

i did have many light strike issues at first but i'm writing that off to break in/ poor reloads

you will get better response from the cz gurus if you post in the cz section

    also call dave at cajun

Best advise for m3000/m3k is to read all 128 pages of the mega thread, lots of good info.

    ...... MOA modded TTI lifter,......

Deburred the extractor pocket and polished the stock extractor, and changed out the inertia spring with an M2 part.

    It's a nice gun.

i'm working my way through that mega thread!!!

how did you deburr the extractor pocket?  i don't have a stone that thin but could order one....

if I'm not mistaken the lifter in the M3K is different from M3000.     what improvement in performance do you get with  MOA lifter

...... I also replaced the extractor and extractor spring with Benelli parts, due to advice from another forum.  Also, make sure you fit it properly.  There a lot of web instructions on fitting, or you can have a pro do it........

Didi you have issues before changing out.       I'm (internet) familiar with mod doesn't look too difficult.....

i'm thinking taccom products since i really like their AR buffer parts and gas key on my AR.   any pros/cons

i also like the idea of a polymer follower.

i've seen alot about nordic an moa.....

the lower divisions are 8+1.   I'm thinking +4   to make   8 +1.    what went into decision process for mag tube legnth?

will matches allow you to run greater capacity mag tube loaded to 8+1 for lower divisions?

what and how are you using shell holders?

  5. My m3k is on its way.

I'm new to semi auto shorty / 3G. Game....

What are you favorite / necessary mods?

    What DIY Have you done?

I've got +4 extension, follower, match saver on my short list.....

is there a huge difference between Nordic, moa, tac com  tubes!

  6. Tax com buffer system both rifle and carbine legnth

    rubber city gas key,

d Wilson mfgr.   For bolt and bcg

ross sculler muzzle brake  ( largest part of perceived recoil equation)

was working towards a budget build.....  It holds it own wit big $$$$ rifles

if I wanted to build another and  I'd and I had unlimited funds......  I'd use same components.

  7. I suggest you start reloading......sure, not part of you original question......  Especially for .223/5.56 in cost and quality.

i just switched from 135 gr to 147...     After 1500 rounds of 135. I could absolutely feel a difference, after a mag or 2 at new bullet my head sub consciously adapts to any slight differences.

Will it make a difference in my scores and splits.......  Not at the level I'm shooting.

As as my skill level  improved I feel that I know that I can shoot 115 to 147 gr bullets. With no change in score.         No insult intended but with good form, sound fundamentals, and  regular range time....buillet weight is no longer a factor.

  8. Found one at LGS.

Mk3 with fluted non threaded tac  solutions barrel.  Fiber optic frontsite, adjustable rear, one mag for sure, looks 90% or better... safe queen....   Not sure of any other custom work. Comes with shop warranty, no rail

I saw it at closing.   But if memory serves ....   $315 plus tax and background...... ( no transfer fee)

    in think it's a steal $ wise?

    what say ye?

  9. i had my head wrapped around buying each individual component  $$$$

i see that buying assemblies is way to go

since these are pretty much for short game, i'm assuming barrel quality isn't so much a factor?

if you see any deals in your surfing feel free to post or pm me

    thanks for the replies

  10. I've built a few ar / m forgeries.      Now I'm bit with the PCC bug.

My preliminary research as build costing way more than my best .223 build !?!

please post your build list, sources. Cost please

while I'm primarily interested in a gound up build,  I might entertain  other affordable systems. Suggestions please

  11. A friend has a stash of small primer .45 brass....   I like the idea of not changing primer bar and tube.

I've not tested any nor ever shot any.....

is there any change in load data due to small primer?

or are there any other issues loading/ shooting small primer . 45
