  1. I have it also !!!!

    im realtively new to gaming.

I realize if if there are known patterns and movements, like you mentioned, I will physically and mentally practice these moves. And it helps with the brain farts!!!!

another thing I do is set timer to ran don delay and do random things on the beep.  Not just gun stuff or shooting related.       Beep;. Slap steering wheel. Beep clap twice.

My point is to train the muscle memory and neuro pathways to respond to the beep.    Then respond to the beep with correct series of actions

  2. dave @ cajun   said so.....

that is good enough for me to try to tune to that standard....

but re reading  see link  item #3  i'm satisfied the way may my muzzle returns to target...

  3. i like blue bullets also

i recently  tried  Tougher-N-Nails Targets and Bullets, he is a forum sponsor!  his bullets come in a bit less expensive!!!!

i'm now using a non grooved 130gr  9mm that is shooting very well im on my second thousand about to make a med flat rate box purchase.... fast shipping and great customer service

he is faster to respond on via face book  https://www.facebook.com/tntargets/

  4. +1 with 1 o clock upper ports helps

the rest has do with form

i haven't quite got that down yet

tuning buffer system will help overall   but i believe that acts more on a different plane if you look at thr movement of the reciprocating mass

i run and adjustable gas key (on bolt)  and  tac com buffer system which is the lightest (last i heard)

i found the changes in recoil response  made with buffer system, were apparent,  but minimal compared to shooting form and muzzle brake.

  5. The reason I question  is that most ( the few I know) including me  went with lighter weight stocks ( and build in general) for for a 3G style rifle. Less mass swinging and stopping....

i I like the luth butt stock  but not for 3G  build,..   IMHO

im also seing a trend towards raised dots for a more head upright shooting position .....changing the check weld .....

im tall ish not 6 4. and am running a fixed Fixed rifle length stock.... Every  body and shooting styles are different...

  6. A better picture might help

    what is bullet diameter....measured ?

what is case length ... Measured?

im assuming reloads functioned prior to powder funnel change?

how much are you belling case?

    dillon dies all stations?

    something definitely is wrong....

I clean regularly and use compressed air to blow it out between cleaning. Put a new plastic tip on the primer tube and a new plate the the primer slide rides on.

Do you clean primer  bearing plate, bottom of primer bar, with scotch pad, any contact points with primer bar. When disassembled

if both of these are not clean or de blurred/slightly polished....  You can get a stutter That will throw a primer

    i have this.     http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dillon-550B-Primer-Track-Bearing-Plate-W-Ball-Bearing-4th-Generation-SALE-/231783630462

An even bigger one is grip. When you train yourself to really really grip the gun hard as heck then you can go a full recoil spring weight or two lower - if desired - without losing any reliability.

i'm a huge proponent for strong grip,  and even train regularly  for stronger grip.... i'm pretty sure my grip strength is well above average

Dave @ cajun gun works says tune for 6-8 feet which is what i was trying to do.

has anyone else tested /tuned  with different weight recoil springs?  what were your results?

i'm not knocking following the internet trend for 11# spring it's what i usually run

  9. havent chronoed latest load/bullet yet.  im on the low end of book load.  i was shooting on grass but i had a spotter and they all were hitting 10-12 feet.

i was just experimenting with the different springs i have.   trying to tune to the directions,  and to figure out what is going on technically, i thought i would see different results with the different springs

my grip and form is so much improved so  that i cant or see any difference on the follow up shots  with any of the springs

i would have to use timer over a large sample size to get any real data.

  10. Directions say tune for 6-8 foot ejection

    today I tried 11, 12, 13, recoil sprigs . From cajun

all casings were ejecting from 10-12 feet

im shooting an sp01 tactical.  With Cajun pro package parts

    please advise

Note that weapon mounted flashlights and the use of a wrist strap are both prohibited by IDPA rules.

    8.8.4 Flashlights
Only hand held lights may be used in IDPA competition. For Physically Disabled shooters, refer to Physically Disabled Shooters Section.
Lights may not be attached to the shooter’s hand, wrist, or arm in any fashion.
Rings or straps that go around any part of the shooter’s body (finger, palm, wrist, etc.) are not allowed. Lanyards may be present, but may not be used.
Police and military personnel using the Duty Gear Exemption with a firearm mounted light may not activate the mounted light, and are otherwise subject to the same hand held flashlight usage rules as other competitors. See rule 3.17.

good to know   i was told that idpa does not recognize night match,   nor were they enforcing rule @ club match, not official match

You said you had "an uncomfortable amount of puff loads" - what % were puffs?

i had 2 out of my gun

    he had 4

    out of about 150 rounds

    4% failure is pretty high

he continues shooting more,  he's a high volume shooter,   so the percentage dropped by the time we wrapped

  13. local cub does low light- no light  another club full on night match.

weapon mounted light is most accurate and time effective,  but that is not the question

i've observed that the brightest isn't necessarily the best.

if you have a smokey load with little to no circulation you will create a blinding white cloud with light

after your eyes accommodate for low light the brighter light creates a greater "shock factor" often increasing time for eyes to focus.

when shooting in close quarter, ports , between barrels the light spill from flash light creates a blinding wall of light

if you shoot the on off technique then a good large switch is king here......

try different lumens brighter is not always better, length and width to accommodate your shooting style  don't forget back up flashlight and wrist strap

  14. jack

thanks i understood what you meant

    the three guns used were

stock   xd sub compact 9 mm

    stock  mp shield 9mm

cajuned ,pro package parts, 11.5 hammer spring....

friend got back to me he dropped 15 charges  all 3.9g ?!?!

he did find a stray spent primer buggering up the works.....

Don't bother. The variations of all the components will make it impossible to determine with specificity what the powder drops are.  Stick with the original plan...weighing 10 drops is okay, but 20 is better.  He obviously has a measure issue so he should put the effort into finding out why.

The issue may not show in just 10 throws.

    ty  yeti

i was thinking the same thing when i went to sleep last night

if case and bullet were off by 1/2 grain each

it could reflect as as 25% or more in powder weight
