Thanks guys, is there a way to learn how to drive the gun faster?

Ive been working on watching my front sight through the entire recoil and breaking my shot as soon as my sight hits my target again. But I threw quite a few mikes this day. I would like to get the hang of having a constant rhythm between targets and transitions, where it never breaks. Also I know I need to keep moving. Thanks

Tanner - . If its not broke don't fix it. I'd check with Matt Mink, Cayon Creek or even Angus before I started whacking the fat off the slide, there isn't much there to whack. I had 5 oz taken off one of my open guns, but there is lots of fat on a 1911 slide, and a compensator to slow the thing down. Still plenty of room on a CZ to remove material from the slide if one so desires. Done all of the time with Tanfos, and the slides are roughly the same size (both start out lighter than a stock 1911 slide, BTW, but both can still be lightened some more). People have done it with CZs as well, it's just seen less, given that CZs are already seen less than even Tanfos in the divisions where one can start hacking on the slide. Theres not much to take off, but i'll take every little advantage I can get.

flat trigger is single action only. not enough travel for DA stroke. What he said. In the picture the gun is cocked, but even when its not, thats where the trigger rest at. It only moves maybe a .25 of an inch. Im just not a fan of DA/SA

I sold my G35 to pick up a custom shadown, couldn't be happier, eats anything, never had a failure except for a few bad primers.(4k rounds so far) I installed the flat trigger and think that improved it 100%. Just waiting to have my slided milled and this gun is done.

Ive been told CZ is a very reliable gun, but I want to get my spare parts built up. Just wondering which parts especially.

Thanks for the help, I cancelled the shadow safety and I will just try mine this week and see if it works, if it does i'll order one, if not i'll order one from eaa. I called Henning and he said to try it.

I was just looking off the czcustom website, I don't know to much about eaa/tanfoglio

I picked this up the other day from the gun shop and its been sitting in the back since 99. I know the gunsmith and he tried to fix the safety but I guess Tanfoglio wasn't to nice to him when he called to get a replacement so he just shelved it. I picked it up for 175 and it shoots great. To me it looks just like a cz 75, and internally it is almost the same as my shadow. So I went ahead and ordered a safety for a shadow and im going to see if it will work. The only thing ive learned about this gun is from searching on here, and theres not much info about it. I would like to make it my production gun. I checked the rules and it says tz 75s are good to go, but does that also include this model? Oh and the previous owner had a nice trigger job done to the single action.

I want to have a load that will work in this and my pistols.

Well I picked up this new Para Tac-five for 500 bucks. Now I just need to get few little things and it will be ready to shoot.

I like these, do you make them yourself? and how much?

Does anyone have any experince with these? Ive read two reviews online and they seem pertty nice. I have a chance to buy a new one for around 550. I put two mags through it, and it shot awesome. It will be used from my new IDPA/IPSC gun. And does anyone know where to find mags for it? Ive looked and the only place I can find is from Para. Thanks
