  5. Chris, I have the new 686 38 super.. Man it is great.. Yes it is good for idpa. and the 686 38-357 is also. But the 38 super comes from the factory set up for moon clips. so if you want a great moon clip gun it is the way to go.. Because if you change a 357 to a moon clip you cant shoot it in idpa. Leroy

I just got a new model 66 357 and i am just going to do a trigger job and chaffer the cylinders.. thinking of maybe taking off the spur of the hammer or maybe just getting a spurred hammer and keep the stock one. all suggestions are very much appreciated.. Thnaks Leroy

  20. Thanks I just some new n320:) S&W recommend a 356 bullet but i might try a 355 and see how it shoots. i have tried 355 356 and 357 in my springfield 38s. i really can't tell much difference seems like the 355's shoot fine. this is my first revolver and not sure if the loads in manuals are the same for a revolver as they are for an auto. Leroy ps..what kind of wheel gun are you building?
  21. oops...356..dia jacketed bullets...
  22. Hey Bubber. Thanks man. I called S&W and they said to use a .359 jacketed bullet would shoot great in the gun so i am planning on trying jacketed bullets. i got some 130gr ones coming from monatana gold this week. I assume that loads for a 1911 auto would not work in a revolver??? Leroy
  23. Hey, I just got the new 38 super S&W 4 inch barrel 686.. Tyring it figure out a load for it. any ideas. Leroy
