gunracer38, You certainly can have your own opinion. I don't understand at all why your thread is titled the way it is, when you say the mags work. If you don't like a product, then that is fine. But don't make up problems just because you don't like something.

Just for your information. Make no mistake Dan Bedell is a great gunsmith. The SPS mags are just a clone of SVI mags. I have STI mags and HS Smith mags. Both work well in my Bedell Comp gun. Remember my Bedel Custom comp gun runs like a racer. I have no problem with Dan Bedell. I just dont like SPS mags.

I was at match today. My Bedlell 38 Super jammed with three mags. When I changed each mag after it jammed again.I saw the rounds nose downed. Each mag started jamming after 7-8 rounds. The bullets were 1.260. The mags were SPS with Grams followers and springs. They were also tuned by Dan Bedell for the pistol. Does anyone know why they nose down?

Just for you new guys. I have many comp guns made by great gunsmiths. They all seem to work for many years without problem. Just bought a Grand Master comp gun 9mm major. This pistol jams after 12-13 rounds. When the slide ejects the brass gets caught between the scope mount and the slide. It has to physically removed because it is stuck there. Sometimes the pistol will run one or two mags with no jams. But then it will jam for two more mags. This pistol has about 1000 rds through it and nothing helps it. It is going back to STI and if they cant fix it it will then go to a good gunsmith. If you want a comp pistol pay the extra money and speak with a good gunsmith.

I have many STI pistols and all of them work great. I have had pistols made by the best gunsmiths and they are excellent. You can still buy a reliable pistol from the factory.
