I actually did get an AR, a RRA M-4 type carbine. And I sold it just about as fast! It was just so....different. I put on a flip up rear sight and a weaver V-3. But I couldn't get comfortable with it; my accuracy was awful from offhand....plus I didn't like crawling around looking for brass or having to lube the cases for handloading. And I was shocked to find how expensive the white box plinker ammo has become. At $10 a box I couldn't enjoy hosing targets! I guess I'll just stick to pistol for now; but thanks for the info

great! I assume Uspsa has it someplace in the rules, so I'll take a look (now that I know what to look for).... any links or other info would be most welcome! I've been reading about 3 gun here on the forum, but I prefer bolt actions over autos. And for handguns I prefer revolvers over autos, so

does USPSA have a 3-gun catagory for bolt action rifles ?

I"d say no to B-square, I had one and it mangled my scope tube

if you do it, be sure to order few extra strain screws ( and at the same time stock up on factory mainsprings and trigger return springs)...they will be offerings to the god of speed.

I got one when I got into handgun shooting, I think around 1995 or so....I was constantly switching from .45 to .38 and back, and finally stripped two of the scew holes that hold on the top part with the dies; its been held in place with a c-clamp for about 4-5 years now. And still cranking like new! (I know I could send it in to get fixed, but...)

another question- is the cz spo1 legal for IDPA? how about the Shadow version? (I did a search, but want confirmation)

taildragger- so, I would need a M-22 to make weight for SSR/45 AR-acp; good excuse to buy another gun! ( I want one anyhow, old school class!) dagz- jerry miculek has a really good DVD that shows step by step how to a basic action job; I've done it his way on 4 or 5 guns and haven't busted any yet. And-another noob question:. do you have to retain your speedloaders after a reload like the bottomfeeders have to retain mags?

Hi, I've been shooting revolvers for years, but only recently have I become intrested in taking it beyond the club level (shoot what ya brung) and trying Ipsc or Idpa. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the rules.... 1-can a 625 be used in Ipsc, with moon clips and minor loads? 2-can a six inch M-19 be used in Ipsc, with minor 38 special loads? 3-can a 625 be used in Idpa, in SSR, with rimmed brass and speedloaders? Is there any advantage in doing so over shooting a K-frame with 38 specials? thats it for now, but I'll have more once I get going

I forgot one- is it ok (or even legal) to shoot in more than one division at a match? (I would only be able to make it to a few matches a season, so would want to get the most out of each one. ) ps, So, does Brian Enos really post here? What is his screen name?

My club shoots an occiasional Idpa/Ipsc type match, with loose rules. I'm wanting to get more serious, and have found an Idpa club within driving distance, so now for my questions: 1-is a Series 80 Colt 1911 in .38 super ok for ESP? 2-how does the recoil of a .38 super handload that just makes the power factor compare to a factory 9mm? 3-when they say carbine match, is that open to .223 or just pistol calibers? What AR is best for 9mm? for 223? 4-would an M-1 Carbine be ok (I'm not really into "tactical" black guns) 5-in SSR, how do you wear your speedloaders? that'll do for now, thanks!
