    Jackass

I like a lot Jackass, except when they start jumping in a pool full of elephant's sh.t ! Those guys are crazy ! ! ! Unfortunately kids are copying them . Julien :-)
  3. Hey all, I'm looking for .223 AR15 30 rounds mags. I'm especially looking at "plastic mags" such as Orlite or Accumold, in good conditions and, of course, at a reasonnable price. Any ideas ? Thanks DVC Julien :-)
  4. Hey all, anyone knows if USPSA send classifier books for foreign shooters . I'd like to try to set up few of those classifiers here in France. Thanks DVC Julien :-)
  5. I think that with the lowering of the power factor, at least here in France, more and more top shooters choose to use small comps (four or five chamber) and drilled barrels (looks like the V- series from Springfield Armory). Of course some shooters still use the Hybricomp/8 ports comp combo. For me, a nine chamber from EGW with a lightened slide and a regular bull barrel works great but, FOR ME . It's all about feelings. DVC Julien :-)
  6. Hey Brian, I'll second jerome about the may match. Sorry too you met the "wrong" french. I know there are some people , not only in france, that don't like foreigner tourists. I remember very different behaviour when i travelled to spain or to germany (I have nothing against german or spanish people), very friendly people and very ugly people in both country. I don't think we are much arrogant ! I agree with Jerome for the "alsace-lorraine" thing, porsche are greeeeeaaat cars ! DVC Julien :-)
  7. Hey all, I'm looking for pictures of this year's nats. Are there some ? DVC Julien :-)
  8. Wow , detlef ! I must confess, i didn't think about all those things involved ! Bill, no problem, you didn't offend me at all . Thanks all DVC Julien
  9. Hey bill, My goal was to have a "scientific" base to start to work with recoil springs. Of course slide weight was in a corner of my mind . My main problem is to find tools to measure things such as slide travel and speed. About friction, i should find back some datas in my old school books (I studied mechanics few years ago). Thanks DVC Julien
  10. Hey brian, Do you have any informations about our "french kid" Eric grauffel ? DVC Julien
  11. Hey all, I was calculating spring rates in kilogrammes last time when i thought about it : If you calculate the force that the bullet produces, you should find a spring rate that would correspond to the momentum (in fact its opposite). Is it true, or am I wrong ? DVC Julien
  12. I agree with detlef about the limited race. Remind that Todd finished 3rd overall at the Florida open, shooting his limited gun. Eric is a great shooter, but I think he's not as good as with his open gun. We'll wait a couple of weeks and see. This weekend , it's our standard and revolver national, I'll see if he's in great shape and ready to race ! DVC Julien
  13. I know what you're talking about pat. I recently shoot with greek shooters that had .38 super "factory" loaded rounds with 3n37. It was funny to see and to hear. I don't know if it was funny to shoot ! It was like bang, bang , BAAANG, bang ! ! ! DVC Julien
  14. Of course, the tanfos are legal in standard division (and so in limited ). I heard they (tanfoglio) have a contract for 9000 pistols per month for south east Asia ! ! ! I think the "500" rule is not a problem for them ! Eric Grauffel will shoot the french standard national few days before the US nats with one of those pistols. In France, near half of the shooters uses tanfos in standard division, others shoots glocks, SV, Para, SPS, winfield, Bul ... Congratulations for your french detlef . DVC Julien
  15. Israel is considered as an european country for the sport. DVC Julien
  16. May the force be with you . DVC Julien
  17. During the european championship in germany I heard a lot of people talking about the modified division. I believe that the division was discussed during the assembly. Many tells that Modified still exists because of commercial "lobbys". Gunmakers and optics makers worked a lot to have that division still alive in the future. I love standard division, I like open division, production is a good beginning for newbies. Revolver will attract many people who don't want to spend too much money in guns , equipment and all the rest. Let's devellop the existing divisions ! Some people launched the idea of a "Box rule" for only one division ; That means , do what you want as long as it fit in the box. BTW, brian, On the cover of the september/october issue of Front sight, is the Rob shooting a 6' gun ? DVC Julien
  18. A friend of mine tried N340 in his .38 super open gun and find that this load was totally inaccurate in his gun (a brand new Tanfoglio hybrid). OTH he tried Vectan Sp2 loads with 124 FMJ and retrieve his accuracy. What could have happened with N340 ? DVC Julien
  19. At the european results, Marian is 8% ahead of the second, eric is 8% ahead too from Saul Kirsch from Israel. I had the luck to finish 17th overall (standard), so I was in reserve for the shoot off at 84 % from the first ! One of the shooters in top 16 left (i think it was alex Chang)so I jumped into the shoot off, facing joe Boone at the first round. He defeated me , but i was not so sad because he goes to final facing Estuardo . Franck Garcia , Robert Sodestrom went out on the first round too. For me, it was a great experience , hard stages, good competitors to compare with, I learned a lot. Maybe see you all at the WSXIII ? ! DVC Julien
  20. Thank you brian. Marian Visny from slovakia took the 1st place overall. Really impressive shooter. Second was Jaime Juan Carlos from Spain and third Adriano Santarcangelo from Italy.
  21. I took him one match ! ! ! The all steel speed shoot stage 22 . What a feeling to beat the world champion ! He's truly impressive when he turns on. DVC julien
