  1. I am running the 11# in mine for minor loads, and have been for over a year without a single issue. When shooting major, I go back to the 15#. The felt recoil impulse is noticeably different between the two. I have put approximately 9K of major and minor loads through this pistol and am pretty sure I have the kinks worked out. .

  2. I found Federal SP here locally for $62/1K. Marked down to $305 for the case.... I don't know if I said what I was thinking out loud or not, or if I kept my thoughts to myself as I walked out the door. It was a creative use of four letter words and a reference to street slang for procreating with one's own rectum.

I give.... no comeback anytime soon for me until I secure at least 2 cases at realistic prices.

  3. I enjoyed the hell out of it, despite a few shortcomings

    "That was fast."

    "Everyone could shoot."

    Definitely the best line!

That was indeed as good an explanation as they come

(she allways looks like she is smelling a fart or something.)

Funniest damn critique i have heard of an actors performance...

I concur... she did indeed look like crap in this one and earned a zero on the empathy meter.

  4. We have a cardinal that destroys our car mirrors every year. 3 in 3 years.... we've put platic bags over them, but he sits and craps all over the door and pecks through the plastic until he hits glass then gets medieval on it. If I was 100% sure I wouldn't miss, I'd end the little fellow's {and our} misery.

  5. From the immensely logical to satisfying to replies that made me feel better by laughing at the mere thought of carrying them out .... thank you all. I sent an email to the league and of course it reached his ears... I got a sob story about how his room mate absconded and he has to pay rent by himself, blah blah blah. Our season ended 6 weeks ago, and that wasn't the case then. I hope the lap dances were worth the public humiliation. I got 2/3 of the $$ after giving him the evil eye this AM coupled with the mass email to the other team owners. I guess that'll be have to be good enough.

Mods, please close when you can - Thanks -

  6. I have a juniuor level co-worker who sits right next to me and we were in a paid fantasy football league with 10 other employees. First prize was a few hundred $$. I won the title and the @$$ refuses to pay in full, always coming up with an excuse. I spoke to the second place player and they were paid in full after a month's delay. Huh? :

Meanwhile this cretin has the $$ to go out to breakfast and lunch every day and parties every weekend. I am sorely tempted to out his poor attitude to the rest of the league players via email as a warning against playing with this tool next season, as well as having them hit him up for refunds of the league entry fee as it didn't go where they think. It's going to strip clubs, bars, and dining out for the league commissioner. I have restrained from doing this, but I am highly P.O.ed. A few hundred is a few hundred...man up and pay up.

It's not like he's not capable of paying it, but I am tired of asking for something that I won fair and square. The nerve of some people. Where I come from if you are spending money that doesn't belong to you and rightfully belongs to someone else it's called stealing.

    :angry2:

  7. Cy,

All our fingers, toes and paws are crossed for you. It's not my pic, but lots of folks are saying an extra prayer for your pup tonight:

Every person here with a dog is probably in this group....

    Damn......

yep... :( tough tough choices indeed. I'll put in a word for you tonight with the only one who can fix it, for what it's worth.

  8. OAL? How far off the lands is your OAL?

Doh, you were faster! I was thinking the same thing.

Still, unless the OAL is pretty short I doubt this is a really high pressure load. I get a decent amount of belly in my .40 cases, but haven't had a single one splt there after repeated use...until I can barely see a headstamp for some of them.

+1...run them through the U-die on stage one of my 550 and as long as they pass the chamber test, I let 'em rip.

  9. You've done a great thing. Not big on cats at all, as loose fur chokes the snot outta me...it seems to find it's way straight to my sinuses and I am severely allergic to their scratches.

I love 99% of the dogs I meet, and the inverse is probably true with humans.

It sucks that an @$$knuckle would do that to an animal, but it's often how it is.... you did the right thing. You'll have a lifelong friend, I am sure. All the days of his life YOU will be the one who saved him from death.

Kudos to you, you now belong to Frosty!

  10. Been there all too recently. I escaped with only replacing the bolt, extractor, cam pin, firing pin, and carrier...well...pretty much the entire bolt carrier group and a blown out Colt 30 rounder that I can now use for a size 12 shoe. HOT reload that a buddy of mine loaded up for me.

Our own Gentleman Jim gave me some sage advice via a rescue phone call, and everything is back to normal. Glad to hear you're ok, sorry about the rifle. :(
