  1. Also recently shifted from a c-more to aimpoint micro on my STI 9mm open gun and using the right sided mounts from Double-Alpha (Saul K). My thoughts on Micro compared with C-more is + Scope is really a scope and not a piece of plastic, - but field of view is more limited +/- dot is great, I had a 6 MOA on my C-more and now 4 MOA on Micro and I can not tell any difference, + and the mount is really really low (I had problems with c-more being to high) + less chance of loosing the dit in really really bright sun from the back One thing worth sharing (so anyone mounting this type of scope on an STI can do it correct directly compared to what I ended up doing - is how far back/front you mount the scope. As it sits so low there is a significant amount of powder/gun smoke residue that can end up at the back lense (trust me...) if you do not think before mounting (again, been there)... I started out by trying getting the holes drilled as far up front as possible - to clear the ejection port for sure but this gave me lots of 'gunsmoke' on the back lense.... :-( So then I moved the scope 'one step' back on by only using two holes - this way I do not get any gunsmoke anymore on the lense. You can actually see the smoke on the marks, ad added the stick to show how far back the powder marks are when looking at the scope/mount from left side (sorry for the bad quality). So if you move the scope to cover these marks - but not any further, that would be how I would do it if I where to drill these holes again and mount it... Then from the right side you can see that I initially had mounted the scope using all three holes, but now when moving it back I ended up only using two holes - and having to carve out some for the (not sure of the name - thing you extract when pulling of barrel) under the mount. So if I ever where to mount an Aimpoint micro again - I would use all three holes and have the scope reach just a few mm further up front then what I ended up with here.... Sort of drill the holes in between with what I ended up with here... Still - great scope and shoots well. If the pics are too bad - send me an PM and I can get better ones on where the mount should be... / Jens
  2. You could also use Shoot'n Score It (SSI) web based match admin. You just create your match and then you get a link to a web page that you can paste into your club web, email newsletter, or... and tell shooter to click there to register. The shooter will then be directed to the SSI web and can sign up for your match without any further action from you. SSI also allows you to keep track of payments, waiting lists, squad (both user self-sign up squads and VIP squads) and distribute the work of managing the match over a team/group of organizers where those that are assigned as admin can do 'anything' with the match whereas those assigned as 'staff' only can administer competitors and enter scores. At any stage you can generat xls or cvs or pdf reports with everything from competitor lists, squad list, pre-preprinted scorecards with competitor name/squad info etc. The later you could then use to import into whatever you need if you do not wish to use SSI for the full match management. SSI is fully Unicode/UTF-8 compliant from start so no issues with charset from that side. / Jens
  3. Cool, any things you need - just email/PM me and I will get it fixed... Usually have turnaround time on new features within 2-3 days... / Jens
  4. There are two sides of the coin here, they only need to do it once and as organizer of a match you can just put out the link and have them do it themselves and save time. If you arrange regular club matches then this will not be an issue and you can keep track of score over time and run leagues, cups and other things with component matches. For the shooter they can also keep track of match results over time and more... You also do not need to worry about saving the results as organizer - you can always get to them... You can download pre-preprinted scorecards, you can after the match send out the results.pdf in an email by just doing - 'reports' - 'send to all competitors' and lots more thing... mvh / Jens
  5. Yes and no, you create a match and then you can have shooters register themselves (there is a link you can copy and past to your club web site, send out in your club email or ... and you find it under your match - send invitation). Then each shooter registers themselves (and if they have not yet created an SSI account then they will do that first). So, no you do not need to create it for them - they have to do it first... Then to the yes parts - yes, you can add competitors as the match organizer add competitors to the match - you do this under match - competitor - add competitors and there you can search among existing users in SSI and add them to your match (so once they have created their account the first time - you can see them there). To help out with scoring SSI also allows you to create groups of organizers where you can invite SSI users to be admin (can do anything for the match) or staff (can only enter score, edit competitors). mvh / Jens

    Shoot'n Score It

Shoot'n Score It (SSI) now suppport the following features: * Squads - you can add as many squads as you like to your match, allow anyone to register for a squad or restrict it so you as admin are the only one that can add competitors to it (allows for VIP type squads) Competitors choose squad on their own or you can have SSI assign all approved competitors to a squad for you. * Simplified Registration and managing payments - you can state if registrations need your approval or if all registrations are approved (up to max competitors in a match), if match is full regstrations are placed on waiting list so you can approve them if someone does not show up. You can also mark competitors as paid/not-paid * Lots of report formats (download or email out) * Messaging to all competitors - create and allow SSI to send out messages (email) to all competitors (you can choose all approved, all on waiting list and so on...)

    Shoot'n Score It

Yes, next up on the to do list is exporting of results. Intend to both make it easy so that when you mark a match as done all competitors gets emailed with pdf/xls/txt/csv of the results, same formats downloadable and also in these formats for export into classifications systems (this later could both be done by shipping files but also possibly directly by having SSI connecting to them directly). Will investigate and guess this will take me 2-4 weeks to get done for all match formats. Yep, two concerns with this is one it would make the work 2-5x more and not sure on how much time I can have and two that I would like that whoever is a shooter within SSI will always be able to at any time check their current/previous results all the time anywhere and if this would be hard with multiple instances of the service. Summary, I will spend the time on making the service really really good and stable. / Jens

I do shoot myself and have just developed it because I got tired trying to arrange matches and results in a fast and efficient way. Free for anyone to use and depending on time and feedback I will improve it. So, this is not commercial. Still, if there you or anyone feel stronly that this is spam/ads then I will remove this post. No worry. mvh / Jens
