Thanks for the help my pistol shooting prowess is scetchy at best now put rifle in my hand and look out. I get the take it slow and shoot A's but well my only expectation is to shoot safe and do my best with what i have.

Ok dumb ? how many round do i take to my 1st match 150, 200, 250 or ????. My brother says 250 rounds he says youll spray them all over he#@%%$#@ the 1st match or too>

I need to shoot cast just due to economics with 2 shooters my son and me it adds up I also cast my own too. I am looking at a 6 cavity LEE mold and trying Lquid Alox to speed things up as I have tons of lead at home

The Klead prices are super another outfit that seems inexpensive is National Bullett. the have plain "hard cast", Copper coated and Zinc plated bullett????

I am in the same boat you are i have used Unique for .357 and 44mag as well as .30 cal cast bulletts with good luck. Some folks seem to frown on it now or it has been forgotten or replaced by Clays or titegroup for some reason? I have a bunch of it and I am going to give it a go for IPSC in 45 acp and see what happens? To that end i am also going to try 700-x which appears nowhere on any of the Forums for some reason another forgotten powder?
