  1. How about you only hear from people who's have failed? Nobody for the most part is going to get on here to sing the praises of their scope when it works , but sure as heck will if it breaks?

  2. If you want to take a 014 on and off you need an els clip. The QLS is for duty holsters like the 5198. The QLS mount still has to be threaded onto the belt. Once on holsters can be clipped and unclipped. Changing from a QLS mounted holster to an els holster would be the only problem I could see and vis versa. I just bought a second belt. One for single stack with the QLS and 5198 holster and a second belt with a 014 and els for open and limited.

  3. The guy shoots PISTOLS and he found PISTOL POWDER. Who gives a flying ?#*£ if he has used it in the past? He can't get any, finds something to make bullets go bang and you guys condemn him for it? REAL NiCE. If you guys are checking gunbot daily (you know you are ) it's YOU that's the problem. Grow up.

  4. When a batter gets ready to hit they swing bats with weights or two or three bats. That way when they actually get up to plate their bat seems lighter and they swing with more speed. I think you are experiencing this with your ammo. You went from hotter to lighter. I sometimes do this at the beginning of a practice session. I shoot hotter ammo that way my regular stuff feels like a toy.

  5. My gunsmith friend is rebuilding a topend on one of my raceguns and it was originally ramped for a barstow cut.......Barstow doesnt even sell their own ramp style anymore...just wilson/nowlin and para/clark.........He has two 38 super marked barrels........but here lies the problem........I want a barrel in both 38/38sc and also a second barrel in 9mm..so I can switch cartridges when I want........

He says that he can take a wilson/nowlin ramped barrel and cut about .030 off the lug and make it work...esentially maching it to be a "barstow" .. I'm just concerned with the durability....

The other option is that he can cut the bridge back and install barrels with wilson/nowlin ramps........

He mentioned KKM barrels once before but said that the few that he has installed were really close on their tollerances.....said they were only about .010 oversided on either side of the hood........Not the GIANORMOUS material that barstow leaves to be cut and he is a little hesitant......

Does anyone have any experience fitting KKM barrels? are they good?.......My STI bull barrel sucks and I'm going to a cone comp to get my accuracy back....

    Thanks for any insight....

    Joe

  6. I shot this group hand held at 25 yards two days ago with my bone stock edge (changed front sight) I personally don't need anything better. Any gun that I can shoot (I'm nobody) and keep them on a 2 inch paster at twenty five gets my vote.

  7. I am changing my upright cmore to a single side mount and want to find some button headed screws to just put in the extra holes. Can't stand to stare at open holes in a frame. Does anyone know where to find some screws preferably stainless?

Also what thread pattern are they?

    Thanks.

  8. Just got off the phone with the "sweet soft spoken " lady that answers. I was told that the new updated scopes have new electronics in them, have the oring upgrade and have had "zero" returns on them. I ordered one direct so I guess I'll see.

On another note I mentioned all my cracked plastic serendipity's and she said they have recently "upgraded the plastic" to make it thicker around the windage screw.

  9. Ok I'm probably an idiot but I am going to try the rts2. Can't help it I'm curious.

My question is for those with the cheely mount. Are you honestly bothered by the fact that it is offset? I've read why it was made that way and it seems it was made like that purely for cosmetic reasons. It's nowhere near the back end of the barrel when the gun unlocks.

I don't know how I like it being off to the side without seeing the back if the gun.

Can someone take a pic of the back of the gun so can see?

    Thanks in advance.

  10. I soaked the comp in white vinegar over night and it didn't harm the aluminum nor did it remove any fouled lead build up. I have tried scrubbing with a copper brush and ChoreBoy with Hoppe's #9 solvent and brake cleaner and neither worked. I will try the Marvel oil.

I am not sure how one would do this "Teflon tape around the comp holes and clean the barell and comp together with an outers foul out. ". Please explain in more detail how you wrap teflon tape around a hole? Or do you mean to wrap teflon tape around the entire comp, blocking all the holes closed with tape?

Yes. Wrap plumbers/Teflon tape around the entire comp and plug the chamber as normal. Fill with the outers solution all the way up into the comp. it will come out like mud. Make sure to degrease the rod. By far the best and easiest way.
