Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Alas! The foul weather has locked me into a movie mode ; just caught the movie 'BEING THERE' on cable and after viewing it for the umpteenth time' it still makes alot of sense especially with the talk of WAR and all.(you are not supposed to end a sentance with all!) 'MU'
  2. Nice showcasing and handling of GLOCKS in the movie 'THE RECRUIT'. Had more fun watching the pistols as AL PACINO was doing a characterization of AL PACINO! ''MU''!
  3. Acquainted with Jurevicius family from MISTAKE ON THE LAKE, couldn't happen to nicer folks, also have family in Tampa with no lives, at least they'll be busy this weekend! ---------- 'Know who you are, Be what you know'
  4. Since we had a snow event yesterday in IND.my rants are born out of these futile observations:Employees who bail at the first sign of a snow flake, folks who don't drive defensively as they do in my hometown of THE MISTAKE ON THE LAKE and lastly I hate that I didn't book a flight to my bro in TAMPA to watch the BUCS go to the SUPERBOWL! And who started calling the weather an event anyways? ------------ ''Know who you are ' be what you know'' '
  5. This kind of talk makes me feel all 'smushy' inside ! But seriously,it's a gift to have such a thought provoking and informative forum especially for a new shooter.I run into many BE naysayers and I leave them speechless with rebuttals! Speaking of gifts, I am half way through DA BOOK and I can see I have alot of relearning ahead of me;oh well it's going to be a long winter of dryfiring! ---------- 'Do what you will-but not because you must'

    thankful

I am giving thanks today for family , friends and good health of course, but mainly I am thankful for having made a special friend who introduced me to the sport and art of practical shooting and gave me DA BOOK as an early Christmas present. What more could a girl ask for? ------ 'Forward movement results in lack of fear' (Edited by aneyokly at 11:40 pm on Nov. 28, 2002) (Edited by aneyokly at 11:45 pm on Nov. 28, 2002)
  7. pat thanks for your drill suggestion; i love the 'fun' part!
  8. be your reply is welcomed following on the heels of the match and famed classifier which i tanked.besides that, all my other shots were massively erratic ;all a's on one target missing shots on the next.the text you refered me to contains so many gems of info, i can hardly digest them.i plan to take the next few weeks before the next match, to start honing my skills and only advancing when i have achieved accuracy on the basic level.thank you!
  9. I see a whole new t- shirt line in all of this!
  10. Call it naivete and blind luck I guess!
  11. DUANE Mea culpa mea culpa mea maxima culpa ! I am below a newbie;I am an amoeba when it comes to computers, and my keys did stick and I was in a hurry , didn't read what I wrote, etc. I since have apologized and made amends to twix . I will try to be more aware of computer etiquette in the future. Peace! (Edited by aneyokly at 10:20 pm on Oct. 2, 2002) (Edited by aneyokly at 11:06 pm on Oct. 2, 2002)
  12. Thanks for all the suggestions. first picked up a pistol 3mos. ago ,have been making progress on tight groupings at 15 yds. so i felt overly ambitious to keep up with the rest of the shooters at the meets. pressure's off,i'll advance at my own pace. (Edited by aneyokly at 10:32 pm on Oct. 2, 2002)
  13. HAY,3qtr, maybe john mellencamp can write a song about eenos in a small town! (Edited by aneyokly at 7:54 am on Oct. 2, 2002)
