  6. Only problem I have ever had is with red powdery clay causing failure to load after picking my mag up out of a dust cloud. The round or the follower seemed to have hung up causing the rest of the rounds to fall out. BTW I have ran about 10k rounds through these mags without cleaning them and that was the only issue I ever had. Lmfao, they sound like an old bedspring mattress when I load them........lolol
  7. I can fit 2 pistols in the same case, it has a divider. I pack it half the time, just depends on how many rounds I carry.
  8. Sooooo..... I was one of those who had the XL Cart with a folding chair, cooler, and an umbrella strapped to it. I had the GPS tactical tall range backpack, and I carried enough crap to build 3 pistols and probably fix your car. As I started flying to compete I took on a different approach. I picked up a sling backpack with a single compartment, and a camelback bladder. Added a couple 4x6 inch molly zipper pouches, a dump bag, and an ifak to the exterior molly webbing. I can hold 500+ rounds in cases, 10 magazines, my pistol, fix it sticks/tools, chalk, gloves, a walkstool, shot timer, 5 foot collapsible tripod, GoPro, swabs/cotton dowels, mag brush, knife, tape, eye/ear pro, stapler, tape measure, and my belt on a carabiner. Everything fits inside the bag in organized soft cases except the Stool, tripod, and belt. The whole setup fits in a pelican 1560 Case that has wheels and a telescoping handle. With everything in the pelican case it came out to 47lbs (the pelican is probably 5lbs). The whole kit including pelican, bags, cases, chair, tools, ifak, and carabiner (not including pistol/ammo/mags/ear/eye/GoPro/belt) came out to about $650 bucks. I took the same setup with me to 3 states for multiple matches on airline flights and it met all weight, size, and security requirements. After running this setup, IMHO.... If you can't carry it, you don't need it.
  9. I am hoping that this pushes someone other than Rival Arms to produce an affordable X5 slide compatible with the bull barrel. Everything I have seen with an RMR footprint that has been cut or lightened is almost 1k or more.
  10. I may get boo'd for this but I tried a Romeo 2 after failure from a Romeo 1 pro and trying the delta point and losing the dot in the sun a few times. Put about 10,000 rounds through the Romeo 2 with no shroud. The brightness is almost too much on highest setting, took care of any issues losing the dot when the sun was down range. I feel like the battery life is just so much longer with the magnetic shut off..... I took a similar size magnet and heated a Redhill tactical holster up with a heat gun and formed the sight post groove around it then glued it in. It's a little heavier than the SRO, and on full brightness you get some bloom but it's fairly solid considering it's a duty optic. I have a buddy who has an SRO on the same platform and have shot a few hundred rounds comparing it to the Romeo 2. The SRO seems a little clearer but not as bright on max. The window is taller on the SRO but the Romeo 2 is about the same width. The Romeo 2 also sits lower and has really good rear sight cuts for co witnessing.
