  1. Just got it back in my hands. About to head to the range. But initial impressions are extremely positive. Mag button is awesome, optic is nice and low, trigger has minimal pre travel and breaks at like 2.5 lbs with a nice positive reset ( maybe not as forceful as it was before, but trigger is lighter too), the whole action is a little extra smooth ( can see all kinds polished areas. I also had a sebo TS2/ TSO open style magwell that didnt quite fit prior. They hand fit it and seems to be fit perfectly now didnt see any gaps etc. Its got a nice large funnel and works well my henning extensions and the oem 22 rounders.
  2. The point was more that you can use regular 1911 gov springs and it makes it easy to find 7,8,9,10,11 lb springs etc. It doesn't add that much weight actually. I also dont think a little bit more weight out front will hurt when you start adding an optic, magwell and loaded mag to the rear of the gun.
  3. Funny that you asked. I got the email today. They just finished it, so hopefully I have it back in my hands by end the week. Ugh that's a little annoying, Stewart is great about responding but he seems a little spread thin. Hoping when I get mine back everything is done.
  4. You mean like this? https://benstoegerproshop.com/dan-wesson-dwx-full-size-tungsten-guide-rod-by-w74-guide-rods/

  6. What are you having done? I got a trigger job, mag release, magwell and optic cut.
  7. That's probably smart. In the initial email they said it was 8-10 weeks. So i was hopeful but not actually expecting it back by end of the year. Its okay though I will keep shooting pcc till it gets here. You will have to update it when you get it back and can compare it the bull armory stuff. I am not an irons guy but I was extremely impressed with how flat it shot and how it returned to zero very naturally before I sent it in. So the dot should just make it ten times better.
  8. Ugh same they got it in beginning of October.
  9. How long have they had it? They have mine too and I'm itching to get it back.
  10. They just got mine last week so I will let you know in like 8 weeks. They said with the partial best they could do was 3-3.5 LBs and to get it closer to 2 Lbs it needed the full action job which includes a new lightened hammer.
  11. Hows the shadow 2 style mag release feel in comparison to the oem one?
  12. Did you have any photos of the gun fully assembled after the slide cuts? Picking mine up tomorrow and going to get the slide cut for an optic debating if its worth the additional slide lightening cuts.
  13. No worries. Interesting to see hear that it ran like that. I will bet its good like that. But again honestly the Jp5 is so good its almost negligible and I got much better when I spent the ammo doing drills and training instead of tinkering. But its fun I get it.
  14. Heres a rough idea. You can just put quarters behind the spring as well. But you will want to measure and match the stroke length/ travel distance of the SCS its not a full stroke length. The kynshot is heavier than the SCS by like 2 ounces. But the kynshot makes up for it. I think its better than just the plain SCS but not anything game changing. But you will want to use the stock 80 locker. Or maybe even a 90 but I am running the 80.
  15. You have to put spacers behind the spring otherwise the travel distance is way too long and the gun will lock up on you. But yes I'm running the kynshot Ar15 buffer for light recoiling rounds.
  16. I didnt care for the max combo the Ar10 was too strong for me. Made the gun jumpy. I have since messed with the SCS, unrivaled buffer finally settled on a kynshot buffer and standard spring. But all in the changes werent that dastric from one to the other. Ive gotten better a shooter by not messing with it and just shooting.
  17. Hmm 4th at nationals? Yeah doesnt look like it. https://youtu.be/ncAZjFj5ahM
  18. Good to know I pick mine up from gun jail on friday and it had a little wobble.
  19. I mean silly question but did you have a mag in the gun? The mag release isnt very tight without a mag inserted and wobbles quite a bit. J/W
  20. Balance is more important to me than overall weight. It helps with overall movement having a balanced gun. Beyond that light or heavy is meh, especially with the JP5. Also Max is a special human and trying to do what he does isnt always a recipe for success.
  21. There isnt any pcc specific buffers for rifle length tubes for a reason. Also alot of people purposefully shorten the stroke, not lengthen like you would get with a rifle tube. Get a carbine tube unless you want plan to use a longer kynshot buffer and weight then get the A5 tube.
