Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Bought a Carey concealment Rotor with tlr1 and fits quite well! Shipped out within 48 hours of purchase. Couldn’t be happier with it.
  2. I don’t reload and am not too picky as long as it’s brass. I usually buy Blazer brass 115 a few thousands rds at a time. 2nd most common for me is Blazer 124. I might prefer the 124 but just slightly with the ported barrel. They’ve also eaten Magtech, Winchester and Federal without issue. reason I prefer the Blazer for these is that it seems to burn a bit cleaner than other bulk ammo. Less carbon “V” on the optics. I think I remember heavy Federal Syntech hitting higher but I’d have to retest to be certain. Come to think of it, I do not recall ever shooting Speer Gold dots (my carry preference) through these two.
  3. I have 2 Competitors, 1 nitride & 1 tungsten slide. Love the guns. Have small hands and use the small back strap. Excellent grip texture. barrels: both are accurate enough out to 20 yards that if they are deficient I can’t tell during my matches. I had one ported by Floyd’s custom and would recommend it. For @$100 it’s a steal. The nitride slide has an observable looser fit to barrel but again I don’t see it in the scoring results. Absolute worse thing about M&P barrels is the peep hole. After just a couple of stages I’m guaranteed to have V-shaped carbon pattern on my optic. If you find an M&P option without, please let me know. magwell: I swapped the OEM magwell for 2 Floyd’s custom brass and the fit in the esp/CO box for IDPA. Adds noticeable weight And another recommend here. guiderod: I use the Carver Custon tungsten rod with 15lbs spring, I found this the perfect setup of recoil, return to 0, and slide speed for ME. The porting on the one does make a difference. trigger: stock was good, Apex was better, kept the Overwatch as best. I preferred OW trigger with less take up and total trigger travel. It also felt a hair wider across the front of shoe. I’d buy both again which I guess is the best endorsement I can give.
  4. The Cajun rod is inexpensive and works with every spring I’ve tried. The w47/stone bridge rod is hard to find springs that will fit.
  5. I use the Floyd’s brass magwell and Carver custom tungsten guide rod. Gun swings great for me.
  6. If you’re interested, I swapped the Apex extended slide release on my Comp ready F (comes stack with it from factory) with one on my other F’s as I didn’t like it. I’d be happy to do a straight trade if you’re so inclined.
  7. I currently have 3 F’s, 1 CR , 3 C’s and tens of thousands of rds on them collectively with all sorts of different parts on them. Most have holosuns. I like 14-15lbs springs for F & CR with 115/124gr though I don’t reload. Never had a part break yet (true story), only springs wear down. Dots are another story. Steel sights on the US made ones will sometimes get a few rust spots on long sweaty competition days that easily wipe off and the aluminum Czech made sights dent up pretty quickly. Grip frames have held up very well on those without magwells and the texture on the front and back straps does not wear down or round quickly and is spaced out enough that it doesn’t clog up with grime loosing traction. In my opinion, Durability has been outstanding.
  8. I ditched the extended slide release in favor of the stock one on the regular F model. I kept locking back the slide with my grip on the extended Comp (apex) version. Also swapped the back plate to a stock black plastic one. Couldn’t stand the gold one. Lastly, I’ve inadvertently ejected a mag twice while competing on a barrel start. While grabbing the gun off barrel I pressed the gun down into the barrel too hard and activated the mage release. Got the first round off while the loaded mag shot straight down out of pistol. Again, standard release on regular F remedied that.
  9. I have 5 P10’s. 3 F’s, 1 CR, 1 C. Two F’s and CR are US made, 1 F and C are Czech. All are accurate and I can’t complain about that. it’s my preferred platform for competitions and range. I also have a S2 w/ optic and still prefer the P10s. If your certain about the lack of accuracy, contact CZ and see if they’ll take a look.
  10. Just got this in mail yesterday. Haven’t seen anything on this yet so here goes. Strike industries magwell for p10F. Pros: Inexpensive, @$25 No fitting needed, No scarring upon removal Secured with included screw,Screw has pre-applied blue loctite Pack includes Allen key Works with small & med back straps Best part, works with EOM/stock base pads!!! Cons: Plastic construction About 1mm too wide for IDPA 1 5/8 inch CO/ESP box limit Have to change the way I reload pistol (used to using more of 45 degree push with heel of palm as I start to bring support hand up to build grip. This requires more of a flat press across bottom to seat mags) Personal perspective: My problem with all other P10F magwell is need for non OEM base pads; I have 20 something F mags. Better than anticipated fit Tiniest movement when tightened down, may be just plastic flexing Creates decent well for reloading Longer & wider in back than front Plan to sand down to fit box for IDPA Rear of magwell offers good space & angle Should keep you from chewing up frame Will buy a couple more for other p10’s to experiment https://i.imgur.com/GtmojJ6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/L5DdRvn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vE1AB63.jpg https://i.imgur.com/qPKDIgw.jpg
