vincent
My new STI Edge has arrived from Dawson. I can't believe the wife approved this one! To be honest I was going to build up a Glock to save $$, but after shooting this gun I know I made the right choice. I put 150 rounds of 180 FMJ through it this weekend without a hitch. Didn't get to do any sandbag work, but that will be next. I'm so happy it likes factory ammo. I saw another thread on factory but it didn't have much info - Does anyone have a favorite factory .40SW load? Anyway here are the specs on the gun: STI Edge in .40 S&W built by Dawson Precision (Long, wide dust cover, Unique slide, and ramped bull barrel) Dawson Roupe grip redesign STI short trigger Dawson trigger job Dawson 0.090 fiber optic front sight (red insert) Bomar rear (not STI copy) with carry bevel on rear blade Aftec extractor Dawson LoPro magazine release Dawson ICE magwell with Delrin insert Dawson tuned 140mm pre-ban magazine with Dawson basepad
Larry White
Vincent, nice pistol, glad you are happy. Your next project should be blue(as in Dillon), that will get the most out of your pistol and you can shoot a lot more. Good shooting Larry
TDean
Nice Vincent!! I really like the "roupe" textured grips. What make of release button is that?
DBChaffin
TDean, It's a Dawson LoPro button. I use one on my SV and like it a lot. It's slim enough that table starts don't push it. (No dropping mags on picking up the gun) Brazos also has a new "Cyclone" mag button that is similar but uses a two-piece button/attachment screw rather than the one piece Dawson design. I think either are a great choice IMHO.
Trey
That's a beauty! Is it a sin to have gun envy? Here's some of my favorite factory loads. Major/match loads 180 gr. UMC FMJ 180 gr. Winchester FMJ Wal-mart or Miwall.com have the best prices I've found. Practice Loads Miwall 180 FMJ factory reloads (just barely makes major)

ErikW
I'd keep the RecoilMaster out until the gun breaks in at around 2K rounds. And use the light Slide Glide until then.
RC51_Texas
The mag release button looks like a Dawson Lo-Pro.
