Im shooting Sig Max 1911s for single stack. The oem extractor started to fail at around 10k and was very rounded and worn down. I found the EGW was the only after market replacement part and it was also reported as better than Sigs. So I ordered 7 extractors and pin and spring sets. (I have 2 9mms and 2 45s pulse a few spares) Now less than 3K rounds later Iv broken 3 of them. EGW replaced the one I have sent back no questions. The hook broke on all three. Do you need to fit a external extractor? I thought it was plug and play. I can tell the hook is bottoming out on the grove and not the rim of the case so the hook is overly long. Im going to call EGW Monday and try and find out if Im doing it wrong or if they had a bad run. I still have two here are some pics the out side two are the broken ones and the middle is a new one. Thoughts?

So when I stopped by the factory last week I got a chance to play with a 650 while I was dropping off my 550 for overhaul and the Zerk upgrade... I was practicing yesterday and had a couple of rounds stick... Glocked brass, very plain to see. I had a pretty high "failure" rate drop checking before the last match and this was the last straw... Time for an EGW U die, ordered last night. They told me it would be 4 weeks for the 550 work... Man I can't wait 4 weeks to see if this die works!? Guess I need a PRESS... you know just so I can test the die! LOL!!! When home at lunch...650XL with all the trimmings ordered from Brian. 5 minutes later I have an email from BE himself thanking me and that the order is already at Dillon. Gotta like that kind of customer service from our host. Powder and Primers on the way, new press on the way, new Dies on the way! It's going to be a FUN reloading weekend! oh... maybe I need a bullet feeder too!?

I ordered a .40 U-Die and a new chamber checker. 34 minutes later I had an email with a tracking number. Hopeful UPS doesn't drop the ball on shipping.
