texasag93
I just had a new Kart barrel put in my P16, is there a break in process for these or do I just blast away as usual? TXAG
TheOtherErik
blast away! but don't melt the thing down. Our point of impact might change as things settle in.
Jasonub
blast away and it wont matter. But if you want you can do the following with FMJ ammo. Shoot 1 round run a patch with hoppes 9 and a dry one after shoot 3 rounds run " " Shoot 5 " " Shoot 5 " " shoot 5 " " shoot 10 " " shoot 10 " " shoot 10 " " shoot 50 " " done!!!! texasag93
I will be shooting jacketed bullets for awhile anyway. To check accuracy compared to my old Para barrel. Thanks for info guys. TXAG
dickwholliday
Funny you should ask....i just got my P16 back from Ross Carter in Arkansas......he put in a new Schueman ultimatch.....i didn't even think about breaking it in......all i could think about was how fast i could get to the range and blast away........i got it back on tuesday and i guess i'm probably over 1500 rounds at this point...i've shot it so much that my skateboard tape has sanded through the skin on my hand and i now have to tape my hand so i can shoot more.....it must be broken in as it is shooting little clover leaf groups (when i do my part).... thanks Ross
