twister
I've got a 1911 with a fixed rear sight (novak cut) that I want to change to adjustable sights. The problem is the base cut on the novak is much larger than the one on the adj. sight. Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dave
G-ManBart
Pretty much all you can do is get an adjustable with the Novak cut. Dawson makes an adjustable that will work...not sure if there are any others. R,
twister
G-man, I looked at Dawsons site, and the only sights they had were still like the fixed sights. I would like to find a sight like a Bo-Mar that could be buried into the slide.
Singlestack
Another option is to have the dovetail cut welded up and re-cut.
G-ManBart
G-man, I looked at Dawsons site, and the only sights they had were still like the fixed sights. I would like to find a sight like a Bo-Mar that could be buried into the slide. The two have about the same amount of material sticking up above the slide so it really doesn't make any difference (edit to add: other than cosmetic). Unless you're willing to have the slide welded on, recut and then refinished, you're not going to get a melted Bo-Mar style setup. Aircooled6racer
Hello: Novak make an adjustable sight that will work. It is a nice sight for a carry/IDPA pistol. Thanks, Eric
