MAC10
hi, buying a dillon rapid trim instead of a hornady case prep center. that being said, extra tools i will need not buying the prep center will be primer pocket uniformer, chamfer tool etc. is there a difference between a primer pocket uniformer and a primer pocket reamer? i believe the reamer is for pocket crimps only but i`m not sure. james57
Here's the deal: the primer pocket uniformer cuts the primer pocket bottom depth to the same for consistent ignition. Depth only. The primer pocket reamer is actually a military crimp remover for the ridge around the top of the primer pocket. Two different things. See Sinclair International for pictures of different tools and it should make sense. Depends what you are going to do and if you will use military crimped brass.
