Stoeger Cougar 8000 for Production?

Has anyone shot a Stoeger Cougar 8000 in Production Class? Choosing between that and an italian-made 92 FS.

I dont know much about the Stoeger/Cougar series.

Beretta Forums.com or something like that probably has good info.

I think that web site is more collector oriented in general but they do have a competition shooting thread.

Im pretty fond of the 92 series, but in order to shoot it well in production you will need:

1. Lots of dry fire practice

2. More dry fire

3. a lighter weight main spring

4. cosider an action job

5. Actual shooting practice

6. More dry fire

they are easy guns to replace parts on, your options for sights are very limited

These are the keys to having a strong performance in any division ;)

Is the Beretta Cougar on the list?

IIRC this is the same gun made by the same machinery that was bought by a company that is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Beretta.
