Paul Burtchell
Welcome to the forums, Chad. About darn time. I think it (the conversion kit) will tear the gun all to pieces. I say that because I do not want you to practice and beat me Good question, let's see what some of the CZ experts on the forum have to say. gregoryd
I put one on my custom shop gun...no problems. It just requires a little fitting to get it right. You will need a #17 main spring to get 100% ignition. Have fun it is a great 22, and accurate. And no, I am not an expert, and I have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. pbosik
+1, the fitting is done on the kadet kit, or at least that is what i did to mine and it works great. enjoy!
Tzygä
I have one like that no problems.
belus
Like Philip said, you fit the Kadet kit by lightly filing the slide on the front 1/8" of the slide rails. This part never moves during the cycling of the slide so it won't wear your existing fit. Enjoy and don't worry.
J.Schmitt
any ammo issues, does one brand work better than another thanks jay
eerw
mine ran CCI green tag, CCI minimag, CCI std velocity, Remington thunderbolt, WIN bulk, WIN HP...all equally well.
belus
any ammo issues, does one brand work better than anotherthanks jay Rimfires are finicky about accuracy. Guys on RimfireCentral mention that even same barrel lots don't uniformly like the same brand of ammunition. I've had no trouble feeding, igniting (with stock main spring), or ejecting: Federal bulk pack, Remington bulk pack, Remington Thunderbolt, Agulia High Velocity, Agulia Standard Velocity, Winchester Super-X, or CCI Minimags If you're putting the Kadet on to a .40S&W gun you may not be able to get the slide to lock back when empty with the stock slide stop. Switching to a 9mm slide stop is supposed to fix this problem, but I've never experienced it first hand because my CZ is 9mm.
J-Hon
No problems here, and I ran mine on several tuned lowers before getting a dedicated lower for it. Melted a FastFire in it, and it's one of my favorite things to shoot. Excellent purchase.
1973
I was wondering if using the .22 Kadet conversion kit would hurt the slide to frame fit on my Mink built sp-01 custom? I purchased the Kadet back in June and am well satisfied. I can shoot 1100 rounds for about 32 bucks. The extra trigger time has paid off.
