  1. ansshotguns.com. Enhanced Trigger Guard is just being released. I have a non anodized one installed. It works like magic. I think many will be interested in taking a look at this new inovation.
  2. Slings like you would take to Blue Ridge. For me thats a 2 point. You will need to move withe multiple guns.
  3. To clarify, you will need a sling for your rifle and your shotgun. There are no plans to have both guns slung on the same stage. Jay
  4. Safariland is very workable with some minor heat modification. I use a smith m and p 45 holster with the sls and removed the als for use with a cz. Find a close fit and modify.
  5. What about shooting? At difficult targets, from compromised positions? You ok with this too? [/quote Yeah Bryan. Of course. Paint all the targets with a fresh coat of grey primer.
  6. No round count has been established, stages are concepts at this time and need to be more solid befor we release an estimate. If I was shipping however and was going to begin my planning I would look at the high end of 200 per gun and add your extra 1/2 or double. (Estimate only, dont hold me to it). Heavy hitters need 1 rifle round per paper to score. Jay
  7. I'm hoping this means drive to the 3 stage section we'll be shooting that day, and use carts to move between those 3 bays? Yes drive to each larger area and move between stages with a cart. Jay
  8. This time of year is usually pretty good for weather. One of the reasons we selected it. However thunderstorms are possible. We had a big one a couple of years ago. Typically evening and overnights on rain. One nice thing about the range is it's sand based. So it won't be a mud bowl. jay
  9. We will shoot at 0800. We requested and received a waiver to shoot earlier than 0900 so we could spread things out a little. Looking at a hour plus drive though the city from Chanhassen. Jay
  10. we have max possiblilty of 400 yards, but will prob not be able to utilze the full distance. Rest assured, target engagements will be challenging, but will always be 4moa. Jay
  11. Shooters, If you did not get in the match, We will most likely pull people for the wait list as we have in the past years. We usually have a few cancelations that open slots as well. But we can't get you in if your not on the list. So fill out the registration. thanks, Jay
  12. Are you guys having success with JB Weld. Is that the best epoxy type product. Has anyone had any cracking with it. Jay
  13. We could just do a senior citizen catagory to encompass it all. Bring your social security check. Key words in the first page announcement. Planning a side shotgun match. We still have alot of planning to do. A shooter may be able to just shoot it alone. We will consider that in the planning. Jay
  14. Rules and equipment requirements are posted here, www.nordicvortextrigun.com In addition 1 .308 hit on paper to neutralize. Pistol will require 2. Jay
  15. I would like to say thanks for the kind words by most of you. As match director along with Jomar we understand that some will be sad to see the shotgun match take a year off. I am. It had become our baby. But enough codling. There is a shit ton of behind the scenes that most of you will never know about and there are reasons to do something different this year, and no I am not going to share it here on an open forum. Those who liked shooting the shotgun match will find that the way we do 3 gun is the same. Same fun challenging style stages, same consistencey, same attention to detail and good solid comradery. Thanks for your understanding, Jay
  16. God I hope they don't go the route of optional targets. I hate that stuff. You may have some options but it wont be set where you can shoot it all with one gun and exclude the other. I dont like optionional guns either. You can expect to see steel pipes for shotgun and a wide variety of targets.
  17. I really like Marks idea of a split 100% for the 2 heavy rifles, magnified and not. They are fairly equal up to the 100 yard range but throw in some enviromental factors at distance and the scope has its advantage. I could also see trying this for the limited/tactical division.
  18. Targets work great, Between MN 3 gun group and Nordic Components we had purchased 45 of them for this past years match. Thanks Matt and Josh.
