Jake Di Vita
I went and bought a stopwatch to check a few things out... Got one with a decent sized button, and big enough to hold in my hand. With it, you can do drills or just mess around and check out your splits and transitions. Just place the stopwatch in your hand like a pistol with your index finger on the trigger a.k.a. button. Works pretty good as an addition for dry firing. Unless to have pretty much no slop or overtravel in your trigger, try taking your finger completely off the button to simulate the reset a bit more. What do you guys think?
RHall
Hey Jake finally making my first post. Describe the drills you do so I can better understand how you practice with the watch? Anyway sounds like a good idea to me. Thanks, RH

Jake Di Vita
After thinking this over...this is a total trap. Doing this teaches you to just pull the trigger without first seeing what you need to see to make the shot. So in other words, if you have started this...STOP!!! ErikW
That's what I was thinking. But you can use the stopwatch to time yourself run from position to position in a stage during the walk-through, so you can decide whether it's faster to shoot from one position or run up to another position. TDean
Exactly Erik! I've been thinking about getting a stop-watch for that exact reason. Probably won't be accurate in the .1's but could show savings of .50 or more?
ErikW
I'm spun off the thread drift (re IPSC walkthrough sighting device) here.
