Floydian
Darth, Put aside the titefit slide-pin and use your standard slide stop until your Tanfog is run in & loosens up. All the best Lee
Jody Waring
My homebuilt, budget Tanfoglio open gun is doing the same thing, the ammo is a good place to look, but when my slide stops, say the last 3/16" of an inch or so before going fully back into battery, the barrel is totally locked up in the slide, so the barrel is jamming up somehow, either in the width of the lug against the inside of the frame or the slide top into the kidney bean slot. Am going to disassemble the gun tomorrow and do some measuring. Edited July 26, 2009 by Jody Waring
DarthMuffin
I think I've finally fixed this -- it happened twice more since I posted and thought I "fixed it". Since then I've done 3 matches and about 400 practice rounds with no failures. What was it? A small piece of casting flash at the front left corner of the ejection port. It was poking down and, I think, occasionally causing the barrel to hang up on it and not go into battery. I filed it off and it's been smooth since then. Jody Waring
I'll have to check mine, I haven't noticed anything there before not to say it isn't there though. Happy to hear your blaster is running for you!
