bbbean
Geting set up for a Sunday afternoon practice: 1) Set up a mix of steel and paper to work on a couple of different skills 2) Double check ammo 3) lay out tarp to catch brass 4) Put on holster 5-20) Tend to all the other details I go through to get ready for a practice, and 21) Take first shot At which point I realized that I'd skipped step 18b - put on hearing protection. My ears are still ringing, and I fought a wicked flinch for an hour before I gave up. Years of playing music and working concerts when I was young and dumb cost me a pretty good chuck of my hearing, and its frustrating as hell when I give up another little piece through stupidity. Pat Miles
I did the same thing years ago while shooting my 6PPC Benchrest gun. I now have Cicadas buzzing in my bedroom every night. OUCH!! CYa, Pat
Chris iliff
I feel your ringing. For 20 years I've heard the cicadas. It hasn't made me crazy. It hasn't made me crazy. It hasn't made me crazy. It hasn't made me crazy. Was that a cricket?
