Tree Rat
Both seem oddly close according to the data. TR
ErikW
Just use whatever works best in your gun. In my Super foo-foo gun, N350 gives higher velocities and 3N37 gives more consistent velocities. Can't tell a difference in the comp or dot. Both are clean, maybe 3N37 is cleaner, but with some slight cornmealing as opposed to the slight sootiness of N350. But this is all really splitting hairs. Oh yeah, N350 might make better fireballs...
BrianH
I just got some N350 to try in 9X21, cause I can't find 3N37 anywhere. Also, I'm going with a lighter bullet, and I think a slower powder will work better there; that I think is the difference. Vit. says that 3N37 has a burn rate around that of 540, and N350 has a rate around that of HS-7. A little slower, but not like "44 Magnum" slow. sfinney
I've used both 3N37 and N350 in my .38 Super open gun, and find that it takes slightly more powder with the N350 to reach the same velocity. Perceived recoil and dot movement were also slightly less with the 3n37. I prefer the 3N37 needless to say -
