Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I've been using a slick Kytac Super Hooper with a G-34 for SSP and Production for years. Despite what some have claimed, this holster will not accommodate a G-41. Since Kytac is defunct, who makes a nice straight drop IDPA/Production legal holster along the same lines as the Kytac? TR

Ryan....I thought that was goofy when we handed them out. Never understood it at all. Here is something that will make you cringe......the MD for said match gave himeself a DNF so as avoid the snivlling he received last year for being DC in a match in which he was MD. Imagine how he felt when the DC went to a little kid who he beat by over 30 seconds......class act eitherway. I made them put back my winning gun ticket for the real workers of the match......good karma for the whole event. Hope your move goes smooth to Indy. They seem to like Barry and Hillary equally out there. TR

    Glock Talk

Wow.....the only thing missing now is a statement about how all the IDPA shooters hang there too. TR
  5. MATCH UPDATE: Match is now 70% full. As a reminder, the match fee will be $100.00 for applications postmarked after April 1st with no guarantee for a Tee-shirt or trophy in the event you place. Get your applications in now for an excellent Mid-Atlantic major match. TR
  6. UPDATE 2/10/07 Match is 25% full with plenty of slots available for all squads. Experienced Range/Safety Officers are still being solicited and will be offered $30.00 off the match fee and a gun chance for EACH FULL day you work. Priority is being given to volunteers who sign up for both SAT & SUN staffing and shoot with the staff on Friday. Currrently planning to give away (9) guns for this match (6 to match participants and 3 to the match staff). This very likely will go higher as match sponsors and budget gets better defined in the next 45 days. TR

  10. So my club is attempting to host a second sanctioned state match (major) and the issue of insurance liability has come up. Last year we pulled off an immensley successful, incident free match, drawing over 150 shooters. This year the we are being asked what liability insurance is being provided, if any, by the national org that has sanctioned the match causing us to pause with a hmmmm. The host club has it's own operators insurance but I never considered anything else to be required until now. Fired an email off to the national org tonight but won't get answer till next week I imagine. Who might be able to weigh in on this? What did or does your facility do to cover liabilities associated with hosting a sanctioned major match? TR

  13. Interesting thread........ I've gone back to just taking out the flare and have seen significant improvement in 9mm and 40 S&W mostly with fast powders. Also of note, I don't even see the need for a crimp die on my 650 set-up as I get .420 in 40 and .378 in 9mm after the seating operation using a Redding Competition Seating Die for whatever reason. I think even most seating dies will at least just take out the flare. So I just screw the crimp die down in it's station till it makes contact with the cartridge and lock it down happy knowing the "fare reversal" as already been applied before arriving there anyway. In this case the Taper crimp die is just filling a hole....and spending money on the FCD is a total waste of both money and the effort it takes to stroke the press with it's significantly greater pull force. TR
  14. Man....where we did this one out from under? TR
  15. Normally I find Powerpistol rank in Pistols with it's flash and blast but always liked the ballistics........I think it is choice in 16 inch carbines with none of the effects as shot in pistols. TR
