bkeeler
I recently shot a friends XD but the problem a have is riding my strong hand thumb high and the thumb resting on the slide release causing the slide not to lock back on the last round. I really like the way the gun feels while shooting it. Any suggestions on how to stop this from happening? Shooting IDPA. I normally shoot 1911 pistols which is all I own at the present time. Thanks bkeeler
Ron Ankeny
bkeeler: I have exactly the same problem. My solution was to sell the pistol rather than try to change my grip. I also had a problem with the take down lever hitting me in the end of the support hand thumb. Sorry not to be of any help.
Guest Larry Cazes
bkeeler....Ditto, I have tried one of these and have the same issue.
diehli
Though I sold mine, I ended up doing the same thing I do with my Glock. Strong hand thumb comes out onto the support hand thumb base after grip is established. I had to think about it at first, but it happens naturally now. I did have to polish the edges on it and the takedown lever, however, as they managed to rub me the wrong way.
