Lock the slide back and look at the back portion under the slide. If there is an empty hole or a firing pin block it's a standard SP-01. If there is no hole and it's smooth then it's a Shadow.

Also, the rollmark on the slide will say Shadow.

Upon detailed inspection the frame of the Shadow has a more undercut frame behind the trigger guard and underneath the beavertail where the standard SP-01 does not.

OK How do you tell if a CZ is a Shadow or a SP-01 with the same mods done?

Shadow says Shadow on the slide, also the slide is solid, no hole for FPB. more subtle difference is the frames are different under the trigger guard and beavertail. sight cut on the rear of the slide on the Shadow is different too.

other than that..you can put the Shadow safeties, mag release, mag brake, front sight on a standard SP01

Thanks, after posting I found a larger picture that shows the roll mark. I was just trying to decide which I had since I bought it used.

also note the SP01 has a hole in the slide at the rear serrations for the roll pin that retains the firing pin, the Shadow does not.
