jacspopo
I picked up a used HK M1 Super 90 yesterday. It has a 26" vent rib screw choke barrel. I recall some action shotgun discipline allows a 26" barrel but dont know which one(s). Since I have a short M1 setup as a limited shotgun, I would prefer to leave this barrel long if there is a venue in which to use it. Input appreciated. bigbrowndog
there "Normally" is not a length requirement only a capacity one. So 26" would be OK in most events, my back up tactical M1 & Nova with mag tube is actually about as long as a 26" barreled gun, so length will not hurt you for the most part. trapr
kellyn
I've never heard of a 26 in barrel restriction. If I remember, one cannot own a shotgun with a barrel less than 24 inches in the UK so all of their practical shotguns have 24 in barrels. In the old days some matches had a 22 inch barrel length restriction but, thank God, that has mostly gone by the wayside. You should have no trouble competing with a 26 in barrel. It's a bit long but not so much that it will handicap you. That's shorter than my old open gun.
