Eager
I picked up what may be some "weird" 9 mm bullets at Sprotsman's Wh@rehouse today. Berry's plated, double struck, 124 gr, flat nose, hollow base. I don't suppose anyone's ever used these, and can recall their load? gm iprod
I got some given to me a few years ago. Neither of my 9mm's liked the things. But the theory is load them like normal lead of the same weight. ANything in and around the 231 burn rate will usually work.
hartzpad
I posted these a few weeks ago, but they are for the Round Nose 124 Berry's, not hollow base. 1) 124 gr. Berry's plated RN, 4.0 Titegroup OAL 1.130" 1051 avg 130 PF 2) 124 gr. Berry's plated RN 4.2 Titegroup OAL 1.130" 1078 avg 134 PF all with mixed brass and WSP primers Edited January 9, 2009 by hartzpad
Eager
No. These are not round nose. The oal with be different with the flat nose. The hollow base will significantly change the case volume, so the powder charge will not be the same either.

I'd suggest a similar charge to start with, with a slightly shorter OAL, since it's inside case volume that dictates pressure. If you want to keep to OAL up, then a tad more powder... Measure the overall length of the bullet before you load. Subtract the length outside the case for your favorite load... subtract. This will give you the seating depth. This will give you case volume for any bullet size/length... A bit more for hollow base bullets... JW
