Merlin Orr
"My God.... they're full of stars!" Azimov? Azimov .....! 2010 But it was written by Arthur C. Clarke. IMO one of the best books ever written in the SciFi genre. Goodbye. Edited December 9, 2008 by Merlin Orr
kevin c
Haven't read "Nightfall" in a while - that's where I thought the quote came from. That and "The Last Question" are my faves by the good Dr. A. 2010, eh? Gotta give it a read...
sfinney
Not sure those word are in the book..... they made some changes on how Bowman approaches the monolith, and what happens, between the book and film. And I think he said the line in 2001.... it was later discussed and analyzed in 2010?
JThompson
Not sure those word are in the book..... they made some changes on how Bowman approaches the monolith, and what happens, between the book and film. "My God... it's full of stars!" The screen play was co written by Kub-Clarke... there was no book at that time... Clarke went back after the play and wrote a bookbecause he didn't like some of the direction Kubrick went in some areas... namely the mistic and obscurity. http://www.palantir.net/2001/tma1/wav/stars.wav Edited December 10, 2008 by JThompson
