LPatterson
I did a search and (gasp) looked in the manual and I can't find any answer. The question is for a 9MM or a .45 is there an advantage to using an extra small bar over the small bar? For the 9MM I have been using 4.3gr W231 & a 124-125gr FMJ, in the .45 it is 3.8gr Clays to 4.6gr of WST depending on the bullet with the extra small bar. Next year I plan to shoot an Open G21 which will require larger charge weights and slower/bulker powders so would the small bar be better? The 9MM and .45 have their own tool heads & powder measure. Is there any place where minimum & maximum capacities of various powders are listed for the different pistol bars? Or can people give me some ranges of what they are getting for various powders & which bar they are using. I am hoping not to have to reinvent the wheel just to start loading for an Open gun. dillon
There is absolutley no advantage to usig the extra-small powder bar for the described charges. The small powder bar is just fine for the charge weights necessary to make major in 45ACP.
