Shooting near the airport is fine until the city council jerks want to expand the airport and start a BS noise annoyance campaign against the range in order to take the land. Did I mention you can hardly hear the gunfire on the range's own property line, much less at the "complaining" neighbors place, due to the 60-mph highway between the two? The "compromise" (hey Mr. Mugger, instead of taking all my money, let's just compromise and take only $20) was no shooting on Sunday, and that means no more matches...
