Scoterbeast
Gonna get a bi-pod for bench shooting primarily. Probably a Harris. Have couple of questions: Should I get the swivel mount? Pro's - Con's on getting stud mount unit? Have JP V-Tac handguard with studs attached - any problems with attachment to this? Is the 6" to 9" model the lenth I want for this application? Any suggestions or insight greatly appreciated. Bill
mjbine
Bill, I have the JP V-Tac and the 6-9 Swivel Bi pod. I love them both but I do recommend getting the pod lock for us tactical supply. When you are on the bench and have the gun level, locking the pod up from swiveling is the way to go. Good luck, Mike

John Dunn
Off a bench, the lower the better for me. In the field, we have so much sagebrush and tall grass around here that I'd opt for the taller unit. Finally, if you're really only going to use it off the bench, I'd buy a rest/sand bag and leave the rifle clean.
ken hebert
For just shooting groups off a bench I gotta agree with John, bags are better. I personally get better accuracy from bags than from a bipod, I believe I'm getting a little bit of "pod bounce".
