Some barrels are just too hard to hand ream. Had same problem with an XD barrel. Called Dave Manson and after talking with him, sent reamer back for his inspection. Good guy, very helpful. Turns out barrel too hard and dulled reamer. He sent back all sharpened up and ready for next one. Left barrel alone - may send it off one of these days.

Some barrels are just too hard for the throat reamer. Called Dave Mason when having trouble You most likely are referring to a Manson throat reamer. Called Dave Manson when my reamer would not cut barrel of my XD. Turns out barrel was too hard. Dave told me to send it to him and he would check out. Nothing wrong with the reamer but it had been dulled trying to cut the XD. Great guy to deal with. He sharpened and returned to me. I felt like an idiot for not being able to do this simple task.

Looks like I need an optic sight for my glock. Lots out there. Would like suggestions from those who have experience with these sights - which one to buy and why they like it over others.

Yep, sounds like you just need more lead on the targets. Choke tubes will help you dial in a pattern that will work for you and give you some flexability. Lots of places install choke tubes. Do your homework in checking out who you choose to do the work. A bad choke tube installation will make you very unhappy.

Boy, you guys need to lighten up some. The idea was to do something a little different,have some fun and maybe get a few of the old shooters to come out. That was accomplished. Basically it WAS A HOOT. The best shooter in our club organized, did most of the work, and used his own targets (Thanks Chad). No donations were taken - basically it was FREE (except for the considerable rounds expended). I know of no attendee who did'nt have a good time. I had just taken a class from Manny on Fri and must admit I wasn't applying much of his teachings - but geez, it was a good time. PS: Had Manny not had to get home for his daughters graduation - he would have been there too - I'm confident that he too would have found it to be lots of fun.

Gonna buy some Wilson SS mags. Can get the Elite Tactical about same price as 47D's. Have some questions: 1 Will both function well with a S&A magwell? 2 Is one heavier than the other? 3 If experience with both, which one would you recommend for USPSA competition Bill

In the Corrections to USPSA Handgun Competition Rules of January 2008 it says: Since a legal holster prevents access to the trigger and I'm only dealing with my entire gun belt or paddle holster and not manipulating the gun, I don't see how 10.5.1 applies. Even if people argue that at some point I may have to touch the gun while removing the belt or holster, the trigger is still not accessible. Another response I can think of is "yes", but rule cited is 10.5 in general for unsafe gun handling, instead of the more specific 10.5.1. This is since 10.5 is not an exclusive list, but simply a list of examples. In this case, I refer back to the definition of "handling", and again it looks like I'm not "handling" the firearm by the definition of "handling". I'm straining hard here to make the answer be "yes", but it looks more and more like the answer is "no". Can anybody with a lot more RO training/experience guide me into the correct way of thinking here? Anyway, to avoid the issue entirely, I always go to the safety area first to case my gun if ever I need to take my belt off. Guys, its a simple case of priorities. If nature dictates speed to the facility and bagging would be a problem you can either fill your pants or do what you have to do and risk the DQ. Myself, I would risk the DQ

Bought a used unit - runs great but the bowl has ring around media level line of built up media/cleaner. Hard as a rock. Doesn't seem to affect the functionality but would like to get it off. Tried basic cleaners - no go. Bill

Ask the manager at the club where you shoot if you can crank up the machines a little. If he has been around for awhile, he can tell you just how much is needed to throw international targets. Shoot low gun - used to do it all the time. Great training for over all shotgunning and wing shooting. The mount is everything.

The SPS mags with proper internals will encrease your capacity as stated. Be aware they are not compatable with some of the long AOL's we load in.40

Use 1.220 with Mont Gold JHP's and 1.200 with Black Bullets Int - works in both my SVI and STI framed limited guns with SVI mags

Borrowed a tac-sol from friend to try - would not slide onto my Kimber or either of my limited frames. Bought a STI/Marvel which slid right on the Kimber ( not the limited slides though). Shoots anything and everything I load in it. Bought 4 extra mags with it ( they are Advantage ) Unit and mags are drop dead reliable - would heartily recommend.

Take it to the trap field and shoot it. Do the same at skeet field and sporting clays . Shoot 'low gun' (not mounted) if you want to improve your wing shooting. By no means is it an ideal trap gun or suitable for ATA registered competition but shooting it in any of the disciplines will get you more familiar with it which will equate to better scores in 3gun. Have fun with it.
