orangeman711
Will my POI or Zero change if I swap lowers? The new lower butt stock will be about 1 in. longer than the existing butt stock.
busyhawk
Good question...IMHO no. All the lower is doing is setting the firing pin into motion and then making the action of cocking and getting the bolt carrier into action again. Match shooters (long range) generally don't even care if there is play between the lower and upper. Scott
epault
No, it will not change unless you move the sight or barrel. Paul
NC Shooter
Usually just changing the lower will not change you zeros because the sights are part of the upper and will not change. But, because the stock is longer on your new lower I would not be suprised if your natural point of aim changes a bit. The way you hold the rifle, the distance from your eye to the rear sight and the way the rifle recoils with a longer stock may all have a bearing on a new POI with the new lower. The above is of course only my opinion YMMV. Ken Edited to add: the difference should be minor. Edited May 26, 2008 by NC Shooter
