Flexmoney
Indra NooyiChairman and CEO, Pepsico My father was an absolutely wonderful human being. From him I learned to always assume positive intent. Whatever anybody says or does, assume positive intent. You will be amazed at how your whole approach to a person or problem becomes very different. When you assume negative intent, you're angry. If you take away that anger and assume positive intent, you will be amazed.
dajarrel
This is kinda timely with the way I've been thinking lately. We (I) are quick to assume that everyone is intentionally trying to wreak havoc on us. I've come to understand that a large source of my ire isn't what others are doing to me, but what I percieve them doing to me. If I look at every time someone cuts me off in traffic as an intentional act to piss me off, I'm going to stay mad all the time. I'm tired of being mad all the time. So perhaps this "postive intent" thing will be a good focal point for me. thanks dj
Tom S.
I'm trying to remember what my dad taught me...... oh, yeah: "work hard and retire early enough to enjoy it". So far, he was right on the money! Edited May 7, 2008 by Tom S.
